Oops, my bad, Hoenir is right. The guy in Anchorhead gives the vehicle customization tool schematic *blushes with emberrasment*.

Sorry, hehe, in any case, be prepaired to lose your mind.

So according to Hoenir's experience it should be an average of 1k mollusk per 3 hours, though you do have to check periodically to stack the meat.

I'd say clear out your inventory, park yourself in some water on Corellia, and let loose, stacking your meat every hour or so. You might be able to collect 20k in a week...

You want mollusks to make nutrients?! You are mad!
Mollusks are the kind of thing you only use when you absolutely have to.

Lol - I am mad

Less than a month before the jedi patch - I deleted my silent holo holo-grinder, giving up free branches of Jedi and everything - because I could not stand having my character on hold another second. I tried to justify it to myself saying that I wanted the full jedi experience, but I honestly think some mental infirmity might be to blame. As further proof, when I made my new character, I chose BE as the proffession I would use to grind my Force Artisan trees.

Its fun though - I've enjoyed learning to make pets - and have gotten pretty good at it

it is the guy in anchorhead, under the bridge. He gives you 2 missions or something stupid like that. something about him killing a bantha and you need to kill a bounty hunter that is after him, then you have to give some stupid wodden banta doll that he carved up, to some other guy that hired the bount hunter. and he gives you a harvestor.

Actually, the quest can be done from either Anchorhead or Wayfar. There are 2 separate quests that give the exact same schematic. I did both of themin about an hour. Check allakhazam for details.

If you do one of them to get the schematic, you can do the other one to get a unique item for your house not doing the final turn-in, just keeping the item. I know for sure that you can keep the bantha doll from the guy down in the pit's quest.

And to add insult to injury, if you wanted your master BE to use the mollusk to make the tissues (mimetic circuitry) that add to cover, then you should know that the consesus on the rifleman and BE boards is that cover dosen't work. Now you can use mollusk anywhere you use regular meat, but it is so difficult to collect you would be better off with another source. I'm not certain but I don't recall any chef uses for it either.

Heh, I had the same though..."hey, this mollusk meat is really good, I can make +88 BSN's with it...let me see if I can get 20K of it"...three days later with only5K mollusk meat to show for it I said to hell with that! I got enough meat to make a ton of +18 Mimetic Circuitry crates that are probably going to sit on my vendor for the rest of eternity...think I've sold about 4 of them total in the past two months, hehe.

PS - For the dedicated mollusk harvester I recommend getting some accaragm (sp?) and vasarian brandy, one shot of each will let you use the tool pretty much non-stop with a macro, checking every 20 minutes or so tothrow all those 2 - 5 units in a container. Find a good spawn, get a few K once, and never think about getting them again, lol.

Get a shellfish harvesting tool and empty your inventory. Wear a backpack keeping at least 3 slots in the backpack open. Go to the planet where the mollusk you want is. Step into the water and use the tool and if you are successful a few times then do the following. Set up a macro and delay to continuosly use the shellfish tool to harvest. Periodically check your inventory and move all the crustacean and mollusk from inventory to your backpack where they will stack. Thats right while suing the tool every successful harvest of mollusk or crustacean does not stack in inventory. You have to clear out your inventory periodically. If you are patient and does this over a few hours you will have a descent amount. If you want this is bulk you will need to get several shellfish harvesting tools and some willing friends. If you get enough ppl and you do this oer a few hours you will have a descent quantitity.
