I am an Electronics Tech, have a degree in Humanities, and have never taken chemisty or biology above high school level.
The truth is all creatures in SWG live underground. They must as they always seem to crawl out of lairs when you disturb them, just like ants crawling out of a disturbed mound.

I work in biotechnology for a company that makes SSDNA (single stranded DNA). We are actualy the largest manufacturer of DNA in the US. I have an ACS certified degree in analytical chemistry(in case you cared ROFL).
I have just become interested in Bioengineering because of my crafter Chef alt. My other chars are SW and nearly MBH.

I'm not working as a bio-engineer, though my girlfriend does. Personally I'm even against genetic manipulation (oh now i'm gonna get it). So I thought it would be fun to do the opposite in game.

This explains a lot. I always wondered about the biology of lairs spawning live creatures. It always seemed a little bit like spontaneous generation to me.
But that does raise a whole new set of questions about underground ecosystems and whether it might be easier to pick up DNA and meat underground than above ground. It also makes me wonder exactly how an enraged bull rancor squeezes out of a pile of rocks without disturbing it. My limited experience would indicate that enraged bull rancors are pretty solid.
The rancors are actually very tiny when they emerge, but exposure to the sun causes them to surge to 100 times their underground size. That's why you usually won't first see them right at the lair, but 10-20 meters from it.
Its also why many creatures never have babies around. Some raise their young entirely underground, while others expose them to the atmosphere much earlier.

working in Evolutionary Biology, Population Genetics. was always interested in biology. so no wonder i picked BE,CH in the game.
and i am so happy cloning in the game works so strange from RL. Crit Failure is bad enough, but i would not stand to come home from work, just want to relax and then PCR fails again, like at work.
So IMO it is good that cloning is so weird. and yes mereks definitly eat BEs

I'm working in Bio-informatic field. Actually i'm working on a tool that gives you the chance to align two proteins using clustering techniques ^_^

I'm a Real life Bioengineer.... and I don't touch genetics, cells, tissues, or other organic specimens

i should be allowed in too! I got an A in high school biology, i think there was something about gene selection in it...

Dang I hope they allow the DB thingy. I almost flunked high school biology. Those pesky life sciences get me every time.
