Thread: BEtool v0.55 Updated 13/9: Experimentation
I designed a level 34 twins with the tool. Its a third gen pet. The good news: 100-401 damage, the bad news: 2k health. /shrug. It has a ranged attack so maybe while some monster is trying to eat me, they can help add to my dps to kill it faster. (hopefully before it kills me)
For the first generation the tool predicted the level well. For the second generation the tool predicted the level well. But on the third generation, the tool was off a bit. Tool said lvl34, game said lvl39. /cry Back to the drawling board.
As far as being the worst BE, I'd like to make sure I'm not in the running for that. This weekend I managed to collect 2 DNA samples from Dath, for the pets I designed, in just 3 trips to the cloner! Not too bad I'd say

Hmm... did you use the experiment function (the [+] buttons)?
I made this test with Generic DNA Templates -> Pet Prediction (file from Ankhesanamun) and 40 times out of 82 it was correct (almost 50%).
When wrong it's usually only +/- 2 levels, but there are a few +/-4 and one +6.
The thing is my BE toon has no credits, no combat skills, no armor, no speeder etc and I don't know anyone on the Infinity server

One more thing... does the choice of creature type(?) affect the level? E.g. I make a Durni and a Kimo with exactly the same Generic DNA Template, will the final pet be the same level?
The only thing that a skin effects on levels is on some of the skins there is a minimum level, ie rancors are min CL35, kimoglias are min CL40 etc, apart from that it shouldn't make any diference

Ok, thanks.

Waiting for a couple of pets to grow big enough to wipe out some lairs for me, then I can get to Dath
Yes I used the + buttons. But only for Aggro for the first 2 gens, and for aggro and phys for the 3rd.
Question: Why? (it's a gooder I know) I got some malkloc bull samples and the Endurance is 955. When I make a sample pet with 5 of these DNAs the endurance comes out to be 1055 [955]. Is there a math glitch somewhere? Is it on the SOE side? I do see stats over 1k sometimes when I experiment. /ponder fuzz in navel
And all 3 times when i got killed it wasn't the mob I was sampling! I'm generally ready to run from them.Whilebending down and yanking vigorously upon the toe nails of a makloc,a random kwi wandered up to say hi. Since I didn't notice him wander over, and I was totally suprised, off to the cloner I went. I used my second toon to kill that kwi. It was a battle because I'm only lvl60 and have nothing but /ranged attack for specials. But I have a petand a Stim-D and he didn't lol. Second trip to the BE resort came as I was approaching the spawn. I was on the opposite side getting ready to stealth in, when the <Enraged Rancor> spawn that was also on that far side appeared. /sigh. After apporaching carefully from the original direction avoiding the <ER> spawn, I decided to grab some Gaping Spider Hunter DNA because one wandered over like the kwi did!I thought everything was going fine. I got one sample, the Maklocs didn't care. All good! But, there's always a but, I didn't see the second spider that wandered over to see what was go'n on. Of course I got my second sample but the stupid thing aggro'd me. The second spider was like, 'sure, i'll help kill that stupid Ithorian.' So, my second toon looked around and realy took the measure of what the neighborhood was like... Covered with red dots surrounding a small clump of yellow. I decided it would be a good idea to head to a different area while the getting was good.

so what IS the white box in the corner for???
Also, nam, are we able to append the following data to our text files and have the program ignore it? name of creature (you have that), planet, level, mission (yes/no). That would mean then that we could share files and build up a library of all possible samples ... kaomond - is it possible your site could host these text files for sharing?
just ideas,
dor

Ah yes, the strange white box
If you're making / have a Generic DNA Template and wanna see the pet prediction you type in the stats of it, drag n drop it in the white box and you get the info.

Ya man, add whatever you want as long as you keep it in one line and use , between 'em. Want me to add planet, level, mission etc so you get it in the tool?
I talked with Juntao of swgcreatures.com and he said "(...)and I can see what I can do about getting you the data that I currently have." Which would be nice.
