Working very hard on BH...went from TKM to 0 4 4 4 in a week. I have 4.4k investigation saved up and working on it some more this week.

I was just wondering if there was anyone out there maybe willing to give me a few base times to help speed up the process But any help at all would be appreciated.

First, Congrats on Master

I work entirely by tips (because I really just enjoy the interaction), and when someone asks me how much I reply "however much you think is fair." I usually get tipped more than I would have asked for =)

Hee hee, congrats. Can I send customers your way?*evil grin*. I generally work off tips, and the differences in tipping are huge sometimes. Mostly I get appointments at my salon, because I'm not out-and-about that much. Usually people have been looking for an ID for days, we make a lovely appointment, and I get 10k-20k without asking. Of course, reputation helps a lot there.

But... yesterday I was in the cantina (no flag on) and someone looked at my badges (dangit!) and asked for an ID. I changed his lekku and he just wandered off. ARRRRR. But usually I get 10-20k per appointment, so I figure I'm not going to correct this dorktard on why I deserve a tip.

I don't know what it is. Maybe noobs in cantinas think master ID's are easy to find. Or this person is not like the others who seek me out specifically by reputation (I've been a master ID since July and am known for being able to fix botched jobs). I guess he's not appreciative because he didn't have to search. Or maybe it's because I was wearing my "entertainer" hat rather than a "tailor" hat: the "tailor" hat seems to garner more respect.

I guess my point is that the tip system has worked for me so far, but I realize that it probably would not if I "worked" out of a cantina rather than out of my home. If you visit swg.atomicspacekitty.com, there is a section on pricing which you might find helfpul as a general guide. I might tone it down for the Scylla economy (which is a little low) but that's up to you.

Good luck, and feel free to contact me in game if you have any questions.

thanks for the feedback I plan on staying an image designer for a while..part of the reason is whenever i was looking for a master image designer i could hardly ever find one. it's a rare profession these days. (aside from the hologrinders mastering if because a cube told them to). from looking over the i.d. forums i have found some great websites..it seems that there are a lot of people dedicated to this profession. thanks again n'jessi

Last night in guild chat I see this get posted...

"entertainer professions are boring and useless"

I reply with "..knocking both my professions =("

They say "sorry, but it's true"

and I come back with "I curse you all with horrible hair till the end of days!"

Hehehehehehe.... Thanks Nevs....that made my day!

Btw, over the weekend, one of my guildies that's holo-grinding had just finished ID and didn't unlock - so he vents his frustration into guild chat "There goes ID! What a useless profession!" All four of the guild's IDs were online at the moment. Now poor Klow is having a bit of a problem getting mind buffs - and into the cantina (we're all dancers too). We'll let him back in in a few more days...after he's learned his lesson.

Congratulations Nevs I was part of the original Theed Local that came up with the pricing list adopted by Pani, it's been working beautifully for me. Now and then I don't mention pricing butI almost always get 1k Maybe it's my server? When I do give people prices they often pay me way beyond what I charge. Does that make any sense?

*hugs n'Jessi* It's going to require some painful skill point choices, but yeah, I'm think I'm gonna!

So many are dropping it, I need to be able to make referrals of problem clients to someone. Did I say problem clients? I meant those who live far away.... yeah that's it....

Seriously, holler if you need training, or if you have questions (i.e. how do I tell this loser that we can't do body tattoos. I don't care if an NPC had em...).

You pretty much answered your own question with that one: "Hey loser, we can't do body tattoos. I don't care if you saw an NPC with one."

Er…wait…it's my other toon that's supposed to be the, uh, female dog. What I meant to say was, "I'm sorry, but that's not something I'm able to do. How would you like a haircut instead?" *offers military*

Lately I've been getting tipped mroe than I would have asked for about 75% of the time. The biggest overtip: 20k for an eyebrow change. After the ensuing "/tip and me /tip back" war I ended up getting 12k to change a chef's eyebrows. I would've chased him down but there were 2 other people who wanted IDing.

I should head to Naboo sometime. I've been a MID for several months now, and I've visited Naboo 4 times I think. I've always been on Corellia, and now Dant is becoming part of my "rounds."
