well, that's definately why i don't bother with stim Ds unless i happen to have some fish on hand. my A-Cs are much cheaper. i've even seen a C that does 1100ish heal so Ds do need a good looking at.

wow there is some money to be made in BE!!

Yeah right, try to sell stims at that price in any quantity. My Stim Cs are 33/1162 and I can't get near what they are worth. I can sit on Dantooine shouting for two hours strait at the Mining outpost and get maybe two sales if I am lucky. They've nerfed CH so much that no one plays CH anymore so no one needs pet stims anymore. The only ones who play CH anymore are the n00bs and they have no clue there is such a thing as pet stims. By the time they figure it out they've noticed how lame CH is and have moved onto a much better profession.

From NancyJ: So you dont think the price you've paid for resources should count in the cost of an item? If that were true then you'd be losing money very quickly on Stim D's ... Thats Stim B's - we're talking about Stim D's

No, not when you can make Pet Stim Cs that are only 150 power less then Pet Stim Ds. My best Pet Stim C were 34/1198, the standard D that I've seen around is about 27/1300. By far my Cs are better then those Ds. I'd rather spend my cash on the Dath Insect meat then Fish and Dant Fiber. Just about the same bang for a much smaller buck.

Is there some magical difference between stim Bs and Stim Ds other then the hightened Power? So you get 400 more power then a good Stim B, big deal. What we are trying to say is that you shouldn't even be bothering with purchasing the fish at all because you can make Bs and Cs that are just as good for far less the price. If you do buy the fish then you deserve to have those stims sit on your vendor for months before some n00b with a little picket money comes along and buys them just because he's never had a Stim D.

I do agree, stims should be priced at (Power * Charges)/10.

Correct me if I am wrong - I'd always assumed the advantage of the higher powered stims was in the mind cost to heal the damage. Fewer "heals" = faster mind recovery to continue the hunt. But if it's not worth it to the user, no need to make anything but B's - especially with 1) CH nerfed practically to oblivion and 2) many BE/CH templates making and using their own products.

Just my thoughts.

my god, do any of you know anything about economics?

sure effectiveness should be weighed into calculated cost, but if you don't charge for the cost of resources, you're not making any profit

if you pay 200cr/u for fish and only pay .2 cr/u to mine your own talusian fungus and can charge more for stim B's then by all means DO IT, you will make much more profit as you paid very little for the resources........ but for stim D's you must overcharge or you're just giving stuff away

albion, the point we're trying to make i think is that stim D's should be more desirable to craft and sell as they are top-of-the-line so to speak

if stim B/C's are more useful then why do we even have a schematic for them at all?

I agree that stim D's aren't worth the trouble, BUT they are better for several reasons....

for one.....cl-10 pets don't have 500 ham, lol....if they do....you are making some **edit**ty cl-10's

my cl-10 first generation pets have around 6.4k/4.8k/1.4k ham....

I assume The advantage of stim D's is that they cost the same mind to use, but they heal more, AND they have the same amount of time inbetween uses....but heal more....so you can heal more ham/second and take up less mind.....but i haven't had the chance to try pet stim D's, and i didn't pay attention to see if there was a difference between the wait time or mind usage for B's and C's....

I just ranacrate of 401450/31 pet stim Ds with fish a guildee bought off some dude vendor.... 3c/u for 1000 units LOL

Disappointed in my pet stim C run... 1091/31... Damn freaking crappy ABECs killed my charge and I had to invest 3 exp pts to get it over 30 Such a shame cause my resources other wise were kick a$$

Guess I'll just run the rest of that 1000 schematic ABEC with pet stim Bs... damn shame to be wasting that awesome insect meat/fiber on crappy a$$ Cs....

What is the stats on yalls ABECs? The ones I'm using are like 17power 13charge. I hope my master doc fully experimented in charge.....

My ABEC's are 22 charge 10 power or 22 charge 12 power. Gives me 35 charges on Stim B's with no expt points. I'm using 162 power ALS and am waiting for some decent Herb meat to make some ACRDMs. With any luck, I should be able to get to near 750-760 power, 35 charge B's.

omg 22 charge? I seriously hope those ABECs my MD made for me was maxed out in charges... good lord I ran 1000 of em

I made a run of Bs and it came out 835/28...ugh... I hate making Stims under 30 charges

Anywho, I read on the BE faq (stickied ontop of this forum) that the ACRDM only have a 1:1 power ratio....meaning if you have a 35power ACRDM you only get +35power to the stim.... Doesnt seem like it is worth the money/effort/time to make being the damn things take herb meat and class 4 petro...

I would say he didn't expt on the charges at all, or maybe only 1 point. With respect to the ACDRMs, if that is true, it's a pain in the arse. Thing is, I already have some Class 4, so I might as well use it and with own limited Medical expt points, I can often get it to +32 using retty crappy herb meat. Hopefully with some better Herb and a doc doing the schematic, it should push it up to nearer +50 I reckon.

Don't get me wrong, I agree with you. But as it is now the ratio of Resource Cost : Effectivness is no where near equal for Bs/Cs to Ds. I wasn't saying don't charge what you should for them, I was saying that they're simply not worth making much less charging more for them.

if stim B/C's are more useful then why do we even have a schematic for them (Ds) at all?

I never said the Devs knew what they were doing.
