the chage is based on experimentation in addition to resource quality. clones do use resources- the stats on samples are much like stats on the resources you use. but i am referring to how it will effect the experimentation of clones. it will most definatly change them, i am sure of it.

THE clones dont use resource quality anymore, but your referring to is dna quality not resource quality

I don't understand how it can only take 3 points to get 500 in Fortitude. When I spend 3 points, my DNA Fortitude will go up or down, regardless of my success.

I did an initial combine and got "great success!" and ended with a Fortitude of about 245.

First point spent, "great success!" and the Fort. went up to about 330.

Second point spent, "great success!" and the Fort DROPPED to 198.

Third point "amazing success!" and the Fort raised again to 280 or so. Basically, not much above what I had started with. Not sure if this is what others see, but with me unfortunately 2 of the three points will RAISE Fort, and one will LOWER regardless of success/failure.

Yes, I realize that. The DNA quality are the numbers that matter. What I am saying is, the system treats those numbers as if they are our resource quality, because DNA is our resource. The system is probably gonna treat ours the same as the rest of schematics, since the rest treat resources like resources, and our schematics treat DNA like resources.

The experimentation responses of "great success", "amazing success", etc. are misleading (much like most of this profession). Whenever you put an experiment point into one of the five areas of experimentation, it is applied to two of the ten areas of the template. You could therefore get a "ludicrous success" in one of the two areas and a "we just kicked you in in the 'nads failure" in the other and the average of the two is the response you see, "meaningless term success". This is why you see health go up and fortitude go down after experimenting, or both go up, or both go down, or even health go down and fortitude go up.

i agree thats what i am worrries about... i am trying to keep it positve till we know for sure, however if clone system expeiment changes too we will lose alot if you add the upcomming cl 10 changes again :/

Okay, i no longer know whats going on anymore, a series of explainations, comments and complex things, plus seemingly contradictory update and publish messageshas left me confounded. But heres what i noticed last night;

Normally i can sample trash creatures (correlian butterflys in this instance) normally when i combine the total figures for these last night was 1/3rd of the avg of each stats, so the first two stats on the dna would be around 45/9 and when combined into a template were 14/3 or something, which i can live with. Now previously i could spendpoints (3 max usually) to up this to the same as the original 50/11 odd, which i found reasonable. However last night nomatter how many points i spent improving these characteristics i couldn't get an increase of over about 5 points. Is this the consiquence of the new changes?

And are they sticking around because there seemed to be a message on the updates last night about how the changes were being changed again?!!
