Thread: Annoying questions BEs are hounded with list
I've been putting most of my experiments (ones I think people would want) on my vendor. I sell about 5 pets a day. None of these were over level 50, all had good kinetic resist/and or light armor and decent special combos.
I still cannot totally figure out the new system, and I've been working on this since patch, several hours a day getting DNA and making pets. Anyone who says there are no dedicated BE's doesn't get a pet from me.
Besides all that time of making pets, I manage to keep my vendor stocked with pet stims, vitality packs, tissues, camps and food in crates. Oh, and there is the time I need to survey and check harvesters so I have materials to make all these things.
I'm definitely not complaining . . . Pets is why I wanted to be a BE, however I really wish that customers would read up on the new changes to BE before they ask for pets. Who walks into the weaponsmith's shop asking for an uber l33t scout blaster that does 400 damage? At the same time I get many very intelligent well thought out requests, and I wish I could fill those immediately, however I still can't. Cusomers that read the BE forums before asking for a pet, I think should get a discount
I don't mind getting tells now that I've figured out how to make decent pets as long as they don't start with "Hey".
It was really frustrating to try to do all this at once. Trying to learn the basics ofa new clone system.Finding out the best creatures to sample. Trying to keep the most desirable traits. Trying to stay alive with my "Uber pets" nerfed all whilechatting with people I've never met before who want a price on something that I don't even know how to make!
How can I price what I don't know how to make?
How can I tell somebody the stats on what I don't know how to make?
How can I get the CL they want when I can't even make pets for myself that level?

I had no idea! Before I purchased my first blaster I looked around at stats on the web, forums, and then shops to see what was reasonable, obviously not everyone does that

Umm a BH, or say, an AS? Umm, no, I'm gonna do a search for BE's and ask them if they can make a Kimo. and how good it is and the price, ham yadda yadda yadda. So shut yer snobbish yap.

master ch gets level 37 pet with 40 kinetic, sorry but that's not even close. on the other side of the fence, we get it. new system, nerfed critters, but don't promise something you can't do.
and if you don't like to be bothered with question TAKE OFF YOUR TITLE.

Lol at these Q + A posts here... so true! I got myself into a heap of trouble taking orders for lvl 60+ pets that I basically have no way to fill now, wish I would have gave that "mutant rancor" reply a few days ago.
them - "u have kimos?"
me - "Not now, but I could make one. What exactly are you looking for in a pet?"
them - "umm lvl 70"
me - "That's pretty hard to fill, perhaps thereare stats you like and I could make it a lower level?"
them - "whatever lvl 70 stats are like"
me - "More resists? Better attack? Certain specials? Give me a lead here..."
them - "everything. best u can make. how much?"
Rinse and repeat this ad nauseum10 times a night.
Not to take anything away from BE's really i respect the **edit** you guys go through but instead of being nasty to people who ask you a question (and ive gotten a few from BE's just standing around the starport) why not just tell people the new BE templates for pets isnt fleshed out, everyone is still experimenting. If you have a shop give them your waypoint and tell them to check back every few days to see if you have added anything to it, or to send you an email in a couple days to see how your progress is going.(stupid font) I mean jesus in case you missed it CH's just got ass raped, all our pets were pretty much made useless, we now have to completely rethink how we play the class, reequip, get new pets, buy tons more stims cause our pets arent what they used to be(guess who we buy these from?) and you guys get pissed off when a ch asks a question, stupid or otherwise. Then we see pets selling for 100k plus, i saw a guy selling cl 15 sub par pets for 50k this afternoon, i mean come on yes you go through hell getting the dna but just where do you think all this CH money comes from, after stim cost,travel costs,insurance costs looking for rare babies that arent spawning etc etc. Unless a ch gets really lucky and lands a holo or has a job as a crafter CH's are **edit** outta luck for money other than mission rewards and the odd random drop off mobs. In case anyone missed it the CH and BE class are dependant on each other and all this hostility is just going to cause more ch's to become BE's so we can make our own pets and the existing BE's while initally benefitting are going to be completely screwed in the long run.

I wear the title of Novice Marksman around Coronet. My reputation has spread to make it pointless for me to hide that I am a master BE and not a slouchy one that turns trash.
I took off 1 day from SWG yesterday and logged in today to find not 10, not 20, but 34 messages from random customer referrals.
Master CH'es get charged the most, just because of their past transgressions in destroying the economy for pets of all sorts. I do not gouge but I do significantly increase my CL multiplier when an MCH is involved in a transaction with me.
Anyway. I am hounded like the rest of us. To a point that I refuse orders if people do not listen to what I say. I only request an email with specs and I always tell them what is not possible in their specs. Idiots get filtered out like the ugly chaff.

Listen, guys, friends. You are now the lifeblood of the CH world. I know it sucks, but thats the way it is now. Quit BE if you do not like it, but many of you wanted to be usefull, and now you are just about all we have left. You can now put just about anything in whatever form you want. You can make a bunny that can kick my ass, or you can make a giant lizard that can hardly tickle me. You can give them tons of HAM or very little, good resits or bad, armor or no, dizzy/nockdown and poison/bleed.
Wonder why you are so popular? Its because of what you are capable of. Sure, it sucks that you die 80% of the time while trying to sample the creatures that provide the best DNA, but if its that bad, become a ranger, maybe that will help a bit.
We need you guys to calm down for a bit and get to work, if you need help many of us would be more then willing to help however you need us to, but complaining about it among yourselves and those who happen to check this board will not help you very much. It should not suprise you so much that you are getting tells and mails, threats and love notes.
And please don't be an ass just because someone is a MCH. I handed out free mounts when I had them, and trained pets to be mountable for free as well. Why should I have to suffer because of some snot for brains idiot who felt 300k was a fair price for a pet that in afew weeks would be CH only?
So really, I'm sorry for wanting my class to be usefull again without needing tons of camps or pet stims. Really, I am. I really regret the fact that I want good pets at fair prices. I openly express my sorrow for the fact that I can't ignore you guys and not suffer for it. And I weep for how hard it is for you guys to collect DNA and ect. But there are ways around that, and you know it as well as I do.
So please, please, stop complaining, stop being all pissy at the rest of us for needing your help and for being ignorant. This will all get worked out before long, but spending all this time posting about it is just wasting time and breath ranting about a problem, and by doing so will only cause more problems for more people.
