Your inventory can get bugged sometimes so it thinks its full when its not. This would cause you to fail like that too

that opens all too often when i try to sample muties. i manage to get close enough and then it says "creature is too far away to sample" even tho its sitting on top of me. 30 seconds later and he's teleported away

HAHA, full inventory... that sucks, have to admit that I have done that but I only tried abut 10 times before I realized why it wasn't working

And I sampled successfully 5 times in a row on Intrepid this morning.

I'm sampling on Corellia last night and failing and failing and failing. Just as I begin to hate the game, I remember this discussion thread...
