I don't think Naritus is big enough for 4 or 5 Octavius' running around .

I really like this idea but I doubt that we'd ever be able to make carbon copies of ourselves just due to the complexities of the ordeal. Furthermore I can't see us being able to sample DNA from NPC's simply due to the fact that look at how many times we get a DNA sample and the target creature dies...not many of us can stand up to a dark jedi. OWIE. Finally (I DO think this is a good idea) when they do let us clone humans there'd be an automatic Imperial TEF (we're doing something illegal) the clone would have to have certain penalties (cloning wasn't perfected in any of the movies) and the chance for failure would have to be significantly increased (look at the facilities the Kamino's used versus the facilities available to PC's ingame.) Just my 2 cents worth as a noob BE.

Well Like with animals there would be a lv cap on to what you can sample, also remember mask scent dosen't work on sentient species, and those dark Jedi aggro quick. Yes NPCs would die fro being sampled, but you would have the same restrictions you have with sampling now. You can only sample from things you can attack.

I agree that the equipment to do this should be difficult to get and hard to find...Can you say RIS style quest for BEs .

As to the facilities on Kamino, that was to create armies, we're going to be makeing things one at a time. And with the amount of space DNA takes up you couldn't make more than 10 or 20 before having to go out and sample again.

One more thing, if we really want to see this happen, we should draft up all the ideas into one thread and try to work it out as a balanced feature, as in how it would work, limitations, bonuses, inter class workings, ect. Then pass the final result on to Talthazar to pass on. If the idea is well fleshed out they may put more concideration into it then use saying we should be able to clone people.

I can see people going to sample force sensitives and then trying to make a force sensitive Non-CH Gurreck Man now that would be funny to see if anything

If this were implemented, I think it would be a great counter to the oh so maligned P O K E M O N wars that so many people complain about. I also think it would be great if we could use a mix of animal and sentient DNA to make a Rodian with light armor and a ranged strong poison attack. Maybe if we could mix and match, then a larger percentage of the clones would turn out as non viable monsters (i.e. crit fails), but the ones that worked would be well worth the effort. I also agree that non Squad Leaders should only be able to control1 lower level sentient clone (much like the non ch pets that are causing such a ruckus).

Another thought would be to allow BE's to make enhancements to CM and Doc creations. Like adding strength and/or duration to poisons, allowing Docs to create uber buffs that raise stats by enormous amounts but when they run out, leave massive wounds. Or additives to spices, or regenerating armor for speeders, or something different that would make us more than the quasi livestock breeders that we have become. Don't get me wrong, I love being a BE, but there must be more to being a Mad Scientist than making the same pets over and over again, and by adding more "content" to our class, it is added to others as well, thereby improving game play for all.

I still don't get the "Creature Wars" cracks.

The original movies had a lot of creature based action and shots and I was really disappointed to find that Cu Pa's and Banthas wern't mountable...

Of course, the majority of players would just clone themselves a harem to have lounge around their house...

There were a number of creatures in the films, but few if any CH. Most of the creatures seen were mounts. Dewbacks (stormtroopers), Bantha (tusken Raiders), Ronto (Jawa), Taun Taun (rebels). The only character labled a CH was the rancor trainer in Jabba's palace. Never once did we see pets following people around. Never once did we see animals attack people on command.

In SWG I haven't been on a single day with out seeing at least 10 people followed by pets, people using pets to fight, ect, ect, ect.

How many battles have you been in where someone didn't have a pet out?
