They are making such drastic changes to how the game works, it's not the SWG we've been playing for the past couple of years.
Interestingly they haven't seen any statistics released on those results have we?
They are claiming that they are receiving positive feedback from a source that we are unable to verify, but a source that we are able to verify shows an 80%+ dissatisfaction...sounds a little bit suspect to me...
Also I do not accept the fact that people are voting more than once as I am completely unable to find a way to vote more than once (Try it yourself...you can't multi vote)...Unless you are counting alts...but then if they have 2 accounts they should be allowed to vote once per account.
I do feel that most of the people on the forums are veteran and serious players rather than casual players...(serious is different to powergamer though...) and as such are more likely to be upset at the system changing...however these people are also the people most likely to have multiple accounts in the game...so when they leave the player base shrinks by more than just 1 account.
...Finally...I do not accept that the devs can ignore the vote on the in testing thread on the basis that it isn't representative of the community as a whole...The Devs ONLY communicate to us through the forums...then when people vote unfavourably...'forum readers are classified as a non representative demographic of the community'...you can't have it both ways...
My point exactly. The only poll I saw was in the 'in testing' forum. If our opinion mattered not, why even place a poll there to begin with? This guy sounds like a cronie in Al Gore's camp.

I've been highly amused by the attempt at manipulating the poll numbers. The last two times I viewed the poll, the choices went 1 - 5 - 2 - 3 - 4 then the other was 1 - 4 - 2 - 3 - 5.

A mask scent ability has been tossed all around the BE forums. But what I think would be MUCH better (and more believable real world logic) is to be able to sample DNA on a dead critter. Why does the creature have to be alive to get a DNA sample. DNA is actually very resiliant and is often gotten long after death. (collecting DNA samples of woolly mammoths in siberia or getting DNA evidence at crime scenes, for examples)
This would allow us to go on hunting parties with combat people and get our samples after combat. Maybe they could make it count like creature harvesting action. (so that you could collect DNA or Meat or Bone or Hide, but not more than one type)

While not strictly the CU, just reading about these cybernetics (and I thought they'd be cool craftables for BE's), if we're out sampling on Dath for creatures I'm pretty sure we'll end up being slaughtered by Rancors and so forth...
I see every BE in a months time having crappy cybernetic limbs because we keep on getting fleshy ones and decent cyber ones bitten off.
