I forgot to mention this and I also bugged it:
- petstim A's no longer can be made with advanced components (at lease BEC and LS)
(please note I'm not entirely sure they can be made with adv. versions on live either but I thought they could - if anyone can confirm)?

They did that to help prevent the uber stims. If you look at the med line, normal stims are the same way now.

I tested today. It's a PITA when you get good DNA to make a pet that can't even be tamed.
Here's my thoughts on the CU in general - I made my char mimic me in game: MCH/MBE
Combat is a pain in the behind! As a MCH I couldn't get my pets to attack when
commanded to 75% of the time, almost 100% of the time for my mount!
As an CH, I need to know what my pets health is, that is vital for my survival in
combat to know if I need to heal them or what to do next - having no health
display makes this game VERY FUSTERATING for me for the pets get back up
and I can't tell how bad they're hurt.
It is very crucial that this matter is looked into - for if the pet AI is screwed up,
it doesn't matter how supposedly improved the CH profession is, it still will suck
for you can't figure out what's wrong...sure the pet took damage, but how much?
Why isn't he attacking when told? As the current combat system stands,
I can order all my pets to attack - herbivore or carnivore. With the CU I CAN'T!
BE is another HUGE issue. I play BE for making pets. Let docs have BE 0-0-0-4
to make that stuff. How the heck am I suppose to make pets that are usuable
when right off the bat the DNA is screwed up! Fortitude of 1k and medium armor?!?
Experiment in Physique and the armor drops to Light?!? End result of a crimson
razor/crimson razor/crimson razor/durni/crimson razor is a CL 135 gurrcat that can
only hit for 200 max with light armor? Um, hello?!? Is it too much to ask to leave the
DNA alone? For there wasn't any specified attack against a certain stat. It was
all at random.
May I make a suggestion? If you want BE's to be able to make pets and pet meds
(that's what BE's were made to do besides those silly tissues for tailors and chefs) can
BE's say at DNA 4 or so get a special container for keeping DNA? It counts as one
item but can only store 500 DNA samples.For if I have to drop merchant to pick up a
combat profession to defend myself, I am going to be tight to on space for most
of my lots will be used for storing DNA.
I am VERY concerned about this for if the CU comes out like is, I'll be leaving the
game after 2 years of enjoying it. =(

Char Name: Nedrub Prime
Template: MBE/Ranger xx3x/Merchant 4xx4
I will be testing DNA sampling with current MBE's lacking combat (template is my own on live). I will be binging Armor.
Then I will redo the template to allow combat:
Template: MBE/TKM then MBE/Rifleman then MBE/Carbineer
I will test how feasible it will be to sample DNA with a combat prof.
Last night I tested pure combat. Found TKM/Commando not only very weak, but impossible to play as it currently stands. So, my feelings are that MBE/Combat Prof will be equal or worse off. We shall see.

Okay I did some. My feeling is the 1000 fortitude is a placeholder while they balance the creatures. It'll go away when it's done. There's no way a creature with no armor has 1000 fort...

Umm, CL is higher with this toon with no combat than my combat toon. I can't figure that out. Before I added master ranger, I was CL27 with MBE/Ranger xx3x. The stims suck so they're not REALLY useful when you're aggro'd by creatures. Blooming Jax's are now CL78? Yeah, your neighbor's kitty can kill anyone. I didn't have a crafting droid so I made a high tech field base and used the public crafting station there. Here is one template: MCC = Merek Cavern Creeper

LVL165 with medium armor. Of course, it would've been LVL65 without the medium armor.
Anyway, once I hit LVL67, the BMBQ's hits on me didn't hurt. But then, I didn't notice my ubese armor doing any protection for me. I just got hit. So I don't know if it'll be feasible to wear it. We'll see.
I hear that RoTW planet will have map zones (like FFXI) where you'll have to do quests to unlock those maps. So if you're wondering what creatures will be BE'able, plan to have high end combat to be able to see the entire planet. I also hear they're going to make it retroactive with the other adventure planets. So, no more free roaming of dath/endor/yavin. I hope this is false.

Sigh i hope thatz not true no more rooming freely
am do dissapointed now and feel my time in swg is coming to an end
they sure are doing a good job in the fast pace enjoyable game they advertize. <--(sarcasm) to make sure everyone see what i mean and the devs not say we are getting positive feedback.
Am trying to think of anything positive to say about swg but nothing comes to mind ./shrug

I'm on Valcyn - So I've tested as my character on Valcyn's TC.. Sad to say everytime I test I get worried about our profession. My Character is MBE/Master Merchent - Scout 4/0/4/0. I can't tell you how many times my mask scent broke - even with Mask Scent clothes on. I've been killed like having a fly swatted and what DNA I do manage to gather and make a pet out of - the pet ends up so high (even without experimenting) that it can't be used. Example - one of the pets I did make was using (5) Riverside Sulfur Mynocks.. It turned out to be level 163 with Medium armour - No specials.
I haven't tried making any of the medical schematics - since it's impossible to find the needed resourses. But as soon as I can locate some - I will test.
Oh and forgot to mention also - I went on my vendor and all the pets I've made on there all needed to be redone especially the Level 10 pets.

On TC Chimaera I pulled out my CL10 9.5/6/3.5k 59% 45% Blats pet without any probs and it was happy to let me run about with it...
I haven't tried to tame an existing cl10 pet tho...maybe thats what he means...
(Also my cl10 fought a cl28 Stormtrooper pet that my friend had...adn the pet won by a small margin. They were both grouped so it is possible that they both assumed the cl80 of the group...but the pet still won

Just a quick question before I goto Test centre, I'm on dial up so downloading the patches will (I assume) take some time, if I download the patches for Test, will they apply for when the CU goes live (IE I won't need to download them a second time). I really don't want to download them twice for the sake of testing

I reckon you will need to dl them twice...btu Im no expert on the SWG patching system

and got a level 155 creature
la resists from 13 to 28
spd 2.19
damage 55 to 65
dna is so out of whack
oh and my pet would attack but combat log showed it not doing any damage
and when told to follow me it wouldn't stop in combat.
so I jumped on it and rode 500 meters away
got off and it turned and ran back to the combat area
had to store it.
