The other problem with relying on the bike is that they are unreliable. Last nite, I was sampling and just as the thing aggro'd me, the bike disappeared. I reacted wrong and ran after the whole pack went aggro. Outran them only to trip across some rabid shaupauts, which immediately picked up on me. Ran them into a kaadu lair, stopped and rested just past the lair when a dang plains stalker spawns 25m away and the maskscent had poofed with the shaupauts.


I don't mind a trip to the cloning station but I had just mind-buffed with a two hour buff and was dead in 10 minutes. It was my fault for not taking the incap ( I just reacted before thinking) and not having a pet out. I kept the pet in since they're so unreliable since publish 6, it's more trouble than it's worth. But so is the bike!


I was sooo ticked Ilogged and watched TV.

Thanks alot guys!

In my first post when I said I had Sample II - I actually mean Sample I <sigh> I *did* head to Dantooine and took a destory mission of pickets and had a go - i tried 3 times and each time it aggro'd immediately and i Forest Gump'd it to my bike (which didnt disappear thankfully!) and got away. But not before it gave me a good stomping.


So I am about 3k from Sample II and will continute on the lowly worrts and gorgs until i get Sample 2 and then try Dantooine again.


As you guys have said - the pickets won't deathblow, so hopefully seeing me spread-eagled unconscious on the ground will be enough for them.. i'm just hoping no aggro mobs spawn in the area in the meantime.. =)


Well, cheers all. I appreciate your help - I will be giving the pickets a right good probing in a matter of hours..

Had pretty good success with bolle bols on naboo last nite. Think they were about 300xp ea plus you could milk them as well! They also seem real lazy and peace out pretty easily, so I didn't have to scramble around too much.

Ah. I didnt know about the Bols. I was thinking of trying tthem but wasn't sure if they DB'd.


I've have quite good success with the pickets since i picked up Sample 3. On Sample 2 I was still getting loads of failures, but at 346-370xp a shot it was worth the wait.


I'm now about 25k into Sample 4 and *should* be able to get that today or tomorrow. Its such a terribly monotonous thing, standing there and sampling, so I can only handle an hour's session at a time.


Still, I'm lookiing forward to creating some cool pets. Then getting into CH.

For Sampling 4 check out the seething bols on dantoine. Reasonable successrate and 518 xp a sample. Also no aggro no db. They do disease tho if they aggro. not a strong disease but its annyoing.


Also if your sampling pikets I found out you can milk them while sampling dna. I made 7k milk in the time I grinded sampling 3 xD Oh and if your piket dies from dna extraction you continue milking if you stay near corpse. Bloody milk lol
