I just wanted to stop by and say that we’re very thankful for all of the input we have received from the community. Over the last few weeks the Knowledge Base has seen literally thousands of new entries in every conceivable topic. Many of the best questions have come directly from these forums.

fficeffice" />

If you have not yet taken a look at the Knowledge Base I encourage you to do so. With Publish 7 (currently on ffice:smarttags" />Test Center and coming soon to a server near you) the Knowledge Base will be more visible with some User Interface changes that are going in. We also hope to further revamp the User Interface for the Knowledge Base in the next few publishes following 7.

If you have questions regarding game systems, even if you know the answers to those questions or think they are silly, please either post here or work with your correspondent to get those questions to us. The more information we can put in the Knowledge Base the more useful it will be for all of us. We are also interested in feedback on existing entries from typos to incorrect wording or information. Bring those to your correspondent as well.

Finally I want to stress again that the Knowledge Base is one of the items in Star Wars Galaxy that we can update and modify whenever we choose. If you see that the Knowledge Base doesn’t cover a topic, or covers it poorly, get your correspondent’s attention and we’ll look at it. Changes made to entries are instantly visible in game and on the web site.

The link to the knowledge base out of game is http://station.sony.com/kb or you can find it in game by opening your Holocron (CTL H) and clicking on the Customer Service button in the lower left.

For quick answers to many game play questions, you may want to first reference the knowledge base located in the Holocron Menu. You can do so by selecting the customer service option and then using the knowledge base tab. We have recently added hundreds of new FAQs and answers and more will be added more daily, so give it a try!

I think to find any Bio Engineer information you might need to use "Bio Engineer" as two words. I just ran a search with "Bio Engineer" and got a bunch of really good answers. Try that and let me know what you think.

Okay, that worked better. Is there a way on your end to map "BE", "Bioengineer", and "Bio-Engineer" to the results for"bio engineer"?

I searched, as you had suggested, "Bio Engineer" and returned 10 results. (Are there more?)

Solutions to consider.
These are possible solutions to your problem. Click a solution for complete details.

1. Star Wars Galaxies: What are Bio Engineered Tissues? 70%
2. Star Wars Galaxies: What is the Bio Engineer profession? 67%
3. Star Wars Galaxies: What does a Bio Engineer do exactly? 67%
4. Star Wars Galaxies: What Pet Meds can a Bio Engineer make? 66%
5. Star Wars Galaxies: Which Bio Engineer tissues can be used in what clothes? 66%
6. Star Wars Galaxies: What is a Bio Engineer creature clone? 66%
7. Star Wars Galaxies: What does it take to become a Bio Engineer? 66%
8. Star Wars Galaxies: As a Bio-Engineer, how do I sample DNA from creatures? 66%
9. Star Wars Galaxies: Why can't I put a Bio Engineer tissue into a clothing socket? 65%
10. Star Wars Galaxies: I'm a non-Creature Handler and a tamed a Bio Engineer creature clone, but it wont do anything I tell it to... Is it broken?

The answers to the questions, however, were very much geared to someone who just had a passing question, with very little detail. Several of the questions are simple in nature, and in that case, the solution is fine.

However, as an example, take question 5.

5. Star Wars Galaxies: Which Bio Engineer tissues can be used in what clothes? 66%

The answer is:

Each tissue will only work in one of the two components – SC ("casual wear") or RFP ("field wear") as labeled on the tissues description. Certain clothes use certain amounts of one or the other component and some even use both.

If I were asking that question, I would be looking for information such as a list of clothing schematics, and what type of cloth they took. There is a very nice post in the tailor forum that would contain much of the information that someone who asked that question might need.

The person who is asking this question is likely clothes shopping and needs to know what they have as options.

There are more than 10 responses but currently the web interface will only show 10. I've forwarded that issue up the chain of command.

As to that particular question I would really appreciate it if you could work with your correspondent to flush out a response to that that is more appropriate and your Correspondent can get it in our hands for review and publishing.

I searched the Knowledge Base. I would like to know how I can be sure that the clone I have created will be legal, valid and acceptable for use by another player.

I would be glad to answer this question for your users, but not I, nor our correspondent, nor ThunderHeart, nor any other mortal knows the answer to this basic, game-breaking question.

Okay, Twice have i tried the Knowledge base and TWICE has it done nothing! <sits there an hour waiting for it to find something in the search> and I'm supposed to use this BEFORE I can submit a ticket to CSR? I'm sorry but it sucks it sucks because I've never seen it! Geesh. I know why they did it... I guess they didn't like the tickets they were recieving I have a legitimate problem of missing item in the game and can do nothing because the game never actually FINISHES a search. GAH
