I made the mistake of entering the game again, failing 4 times to sample a nuna for DNA (I have sample 4), finally got enough DNA to make a template for a kaadu (while the customer waited. yes he knew he was getting a POS kaadu but didn't care), the YAY critical fail on the final assembly. Start over. Gorg glutton, first sample it attacks me, blam its dead. Next gorg, it attacks me, blam its dead (no my inventory wasn't full, remember I critical failed on final with the last build). Finally get enough DNA and YAY critical fail again. Now this is what I call a fun game

Well at least there are a freakin TRILLION animals out there to sample now. What in the world happened that made every type of critter and NPC spawn within 2 meters of each other? Just more things to send me to the clone center.

Okay, I'm Buboo and I'm a bio-engineer. Its been 3 seconds since my last rant.....

My last rant was about an hour ago.

I hoped reading everyone else's rants would make me feel better. Instead I can only sympathise and watch as many more people's days and weeks are destroyed by a mere game. A seemingly innocuous creation designed with the advertised objective of providing entertainment in the star-wars universe. I pay a monthly fee to take this abuse. My monthly dues are taken without thanks or complaint and as part of my allowed activities I come here to this board to post my rants about how the developers hate my chosen profession. I once tried to sugar-coat my rants in a vain effort to give positive re-enforcement to an obviously struggling developer team. This was before I realised that this same developer team could not look at a calendar and realise that more than four months had gone by since their game had been deemed "good enough" to unleash on an unsuspecting public. This they have been quoted as saying is "not long".

Other quotes were intruduced shortly after the release, when the general public realised they'd been taken. Theseinclude such statements as repairs comming "soon" and in the "next publish". Then came the definition twisting, no longer does the word sex have one meaning, the very definition of the word "is" has come into question. A publish is no longer when a bug fix is brought forth, that is now a "hotfix", yea even a monthly content update is not necessarily a "publish"... now a publish is as meaningless as the promises that were rendered.

Will these things change? Unlikely. SOE is a retail business, and money cures all wrongs. SWG will continue to make money hand over fist, and with making money comes sluggish management. They will be unwilling to make any changes because obviously their money machine is not broken, there is no reason to fix it. The machine makes money just fine.

The boards were closed to public access for this reason. The money machine started to slow it's production because people would read the boards and not make the expected purchases because the game is not completed yet. This is further evidenced by the sudden attention the droid engineer profession is getting after a comic is published outside the influence of SOE. Would a bio engineer could attain such fame.

I just wish there was someone other than our correspondant "The Sunshine King" to tell us they really listen to our problems. I can't run a simple DNA sample mission because next to my lair is 2 lairs of uber critters waiting to eat my arse hole out.

I'm still waiting for my sponsor.The rants will never end until someone lies to me soon.

The devs really do care. They come onto this board every day and post for us (what, you don't see the posts from Keldarin that are always at the top of the thread listing?)...Hmmm, your browser must be broken. Try Mozilla (get away from that evil IE MSN crap).

They are about us soooo much that they don't want to tell us when our big present is coming. They want to surprise us! They're not really trying to make us all go extinct; they're just culling the herd so that only the hardcore people are left.

Hi my name is From'mirrl and I'm a BE. My last fix of muon gold was 18 hours ago. My last rant was probably 18 minutes ago, I don't remember. I just made MBE this last weekend, despite having played a BE for months. I love being a MBE. Made my first rancor for a guild mate. It had~12200 HAM 630 Dmg. and 0.66 To Hit. Not bad for a first try. Now I just need to make more.

I'm Delbon, and I'm a bio-engineer. I've not posted a rant in a day, and I've not had any muon gold for going on 36 hours! I'm slowly breaking the vicious cycle!

I am so excited that the new clones are set to go. That seriously made my day today. Being a master bio-engineer will now mean that I can make something useful other than rancors and gurrecks! I can't wait to figure out the inner workings of this new system...Making pets will truly be an art form! I am soooooooo excited now
