Thread: Holocron Bio-Engineers: All you need to know for your grind
If u want XP scores for everything from Template / Clone / UXP i generated the charts back in august.. i think ..ahh can't remember . at any rate they actually still apply . and from ALL Tissues i've made so far are directly proportionate to the amount of resources of 2xp / 1 resource. So the Only reason to make Micronutrient over any other resource is the Ease of the resources. BUT if u have large quantites of one of the other tissues that uses more Resources in the crafting by all means do that . its directly related.
now if someone could tell me how to post it that might actually be easy to read? its in excel . that or message me and i'll send it to you on E-mail.
As for the DNA sample macro . remember this isn't completely hands free .. But it allows you to read the forums for a couple minutes or just not pay as much attention to the tedious work ahead of you.
/ui action targetSelf;
/ui action cycleTargetOutward;
/follow;
/pause 8; (You can adjust his number . i just usually found 8 seconds was adequate for far away ones)
/sampledna;
/pause 11;
/sampledna;
/pause 11;
/sampledna;
/pause 11;
/sampledna;
/pause 11; (Etc as needed by your Mind and Focus / Will )
/stopfollow;
/sit;
/pause 80; (Pause as needed for your mind to regen)
/stand;
Now if u take this macro add it to an /Alias . and then macro the alias you can have a bit of uninterrupted DNA sampling .. this isn't full proof but it'll help. if u want to get real fancy you can even have it retarget in the middle so as if u accidently sampled to death / agg and killed it. it'll retarget . and since the target outward always picks the closest if its not dead, you will continue to sample .. Have fun . adjust as needed .
Great post, a couple things to add:
1) You do not lose resources on a crit fail. When I crit fail, it simply adds the resources back to the stack I'm using.
2) While sampling, hit your macro, then sit down. You regen mind faster while sitting, rather than standing. It won't interupt the sampling, and if you start close enough, they won't wander out of range while sampling. This way, I can sample at least 10 times before needing any rest.
Hey - Im no expert - but isnt PetStimA a viablegrinding object ?
I dont like to use meat - its a hassle -- ok u need to craft medic components - but these are also easy to macro -- infact I go outside on my doorstep to macro a packfull of components (away from my craftstation) - and then go in and macro the petstims using practice mode.
Tried PetStimBs but they not worth the extra few xp points for their trouble.
U then just need some flora, fibreplast and water -- all auto harvestable.
Let me add a couple of things:
1) For pure grinding purposes, I prefer making Scent Camouflage (once you can, obviously) to Micronutrient Supplements. They give 30% more xp each and, like Micronutrient Supplements, only require 25 generic meats.
2) If you know someone who is a chef or tailor, you get 150% of the crafting xp as usage xp. There are some bugs in it, you only get the xp if you are logged in when your item is used according to tests I ran last week, but that is a major boon as far as grinding if you can work it out.
Pet meds are not good grinding options because they mostly utilize medic components.
I had enough materials to stick with the Micronutrients so I didn't really care too much. I just stuck with that and in no time managed master... almost no time, I didn't work on it too hard as I was always running around doing everything else but work on BE, however at first I had fun with it... I didn't just grind. So my first full tree was DNA Sampling and it was extremely easy for me. This was a while ago and I don't completely know how it works for lower levels now hehe. I only started grinding when I found out weeks ago about the changes that were going to happen so I wanted to be ready hehe. I'm not aHolo BE and I'm not completely fond of allthe people grinding through professions because of holos...mostly entertainers because they don't care about it at all (Ex-Master Musician, AFK Macroing Entertainersand holo Entertainers drove me away fromit for good) So I like this guide! Let's get them through the profession and moving on! ![]()
Hey Chibim, good to see you here.
She knows I'm a holo bio-eng already, but what tree would everyone suggest going up first? (other than DNA)
of ypu all so wont to move up if you know some one that is a tailer you can make colth for them when they use it by hand you get 200 exp for it so if you make 50 coth you get the exp pls 10k for the tailer
Great Post...
I'm also getting hooked by the BIO bug...Holo brought me hear but I have learned more about the game during the last couple days then the rest of the time i was running missions.
I now own a high capacity Flora Farm with another on the way...Power Gens to keep the Flora Farm running, also getting a brand new Fusion Gen soon. I'm being transformed from pure combatant to a member of the community. I staying in this as long as possible and probably come back to it later.
Thanks for the info...

I think this is the true spirit of what the holocrons were supposed to do. Expose people to aspects of the game they wouldn't otherwise have considered, and in this case, getting 'em hooked too. Welcome, llib. I am very happy to hear you're enjoying your trip with us. It's only going to get better!
