Thread: Is there a reason why we cant harvest after sampling?
You know, dancing at them doesn't seem to work either... what is up with that?

Sure, I can accidently kill some pretty big creatures by sampling, but if they get mad, no amount of hair coloring will calm them down!

Since alot of BE's can afford a second proffesion(CH,Riflman,Swrdsman,ect...),this does not irratate me at all for I have combat skills.I do see, however,A BE that is a Docter and have no combat skills what so ever would be a wee bit annoying.
Imo,we damage a creature less sampling then, lets say,a Commando that burns the poor thing to death, charred and turned to ashes. There is no reason we shouldnt be able to harvest after the creatures death from sampling.
If the Devs follow their normal path though,if we keep complaining about this, they will not make it better for us,they will maybe put some sort of "damage meter" on the creature,so if you damage the creature to much by blowing it up or whatever, they wont be harvestable by anyone.
I of course do not want that, but sticking with this proffesion for 5 months, going through all the trails and bugs, nothing would surprise me anymore.
Im not complaining, i just dont understand the logic behind this or why it was made this way. For someone like me, i have no offensive skills but being a ranger too, am supposed to be **edit** good at harvesting creatures as well. Technically i did cause the creature to "die" by my needle and im sure injecting him doesnt cause all his meat, skin and bone to rot away in that instant so why cant i harvest him?
In any case, no one can harvest from him either so what wrong would it be if i was allowed to harvest it seeing that my sampling caused it to die?
Im not screaming how unfair it is, like alot of things, if this is the way it has to be then ok but im wondering if this has been asked of the devs or if there is alreadyan official answer to this arrangement.
