When are we gonna get some relief? I hate not having an effective mind shot. I can't fight solo against buff'd melee or riflemen. I have to feign death a lot.

What's your armor like?

You want atleast 85% effectiveness slices on a Stun suit of armor on the Helmet, Chest, Boots and Gloves. Are you using a PSG?

What foods are you using?

As a Carbineer/Smuggler with low defenses, take some KD food.. Thakatillo. Also take some Synthsteak. Pop 2 brandies a bit before the fight so that you can stack a third right before it starts. Leave space for some Parwan if you need to (burst run food).

What are your weapons like?

Are you speed-capped? (your current template gives you a base of 65 carbine speed.. do you have enough speed tapes and the corresponding weapon speeds to fire a shot every second?)

WHY ARE YOU FIGHTING SOLO??

A lone Master Carbineer is a dead Carbineer. You don't have any form of melee stacking in your template, which means that more than half the people who actively PvP will win. Learn to pick your battles and fight in groups - it's the only way to play as a Carbineer.

Ever hear of the Combat Upgrade/Revamp/Balance?

And for good measure, Read the FAQ

You know in all fairness to Joachim it is sort of silly that carbineers are prevented from shooting people in the head. Really this would be more of an ethical choice than a matter of being capable of it or not. I am fairly certain that any person given any weapon could attempt to hit someone in the head each time they used it.

BTW, I have seen some bounty hunter carbineers do quite well in solo combat against groups. It has inspired me to better hone my ability. Good gear is essential of course, and so is maintaining an optimal range for the group you are fighting. One thing I have learned is to never underestimate the value of running; RETREAT!

I don't wanna shoot em in thier head, i wanna hit there action pool and have it mean something. I wanna bleed em good, and make em dive for the ground beneath a torrent of my maniacal firing.

I have read all the FAQs, I know all the propaganda.. yet no one has yet to adequately answer this question. WHEN? WHEN? WHEN? This mythical combat balance is lovely. If it ever occurs in 2004. 1Q05 is an answer if someone were to put it forward.

I have thak, vercupti, brandy, muon, synth, ithorian mist.. you name it. I actually am very sucessful solo. I no longer wear armour do to the mind deficit. I have all the bio-eng. clothes for melee def / stun def you can apply. Lots of attachments (lower stuff from Torton and Borgle).

And to the dork(s) who 1-starred me.. a pox on your house and your first born.

If you aren't satisfied with the current Carbineer profession, perhaps you should pick up a FOTM template.

So you just came in here to ask an impossible question to answer and then ridicule us?

And if I told you the answer I would have to kill you anyways....

I didn't One Star you, but I surely should after getting the full story.

Between some of the Brandy, Ahrisa and Vagnerian canape I've seen Kettemoor produce, I'm stunned you have a Mind deficit. I'm migrated for unbuffed play, and I can still boost the blue bar into the 2k+ range with Muon and Brandy, and my secondaries are off the hook with +690/33 filling canape.

Hell, I only use one canape and drop a new one every ten minutes or so along with a +420 ahrisa and have no armor issues at all.

But asking WHEN is the problem, we can't answer that for you and the Devs can't either....even if they wanted to it is IMPOSSIBLE.

But whatever....

Thanks for being so dismissive with the "whatever".... perhaps in future.. here would be a great reply:

"I recognize your frustration. Carbineer is the representative Star Wars combat professional class. I'm working closely with the development team to represent our interests to SOE. We don't have a deadline at this point, but I ask your continued patience, and I look forward to representing these concerns to SOE on our community's behalf. I'm certain that our issues will be addressed in future."

If it were important to the development effort, they would have a general date -- at least in quarters (i.e 1Q, 2Q). So, I still will operate under the assumption that Carbineer / Smuggler revamp are not of immediate (2004) concern. Thanks so much for the kind and understanding way in which you've communicated with me so far.

"WHATEVER" is condescending and dismissive.
