progress on the FAQ:
I've dropped all DNA skills to regrind the DNA line of BioE from scratch...
it's been a while since I had to run repeated fails on CL2's to get xp, and it isn't fun. I'm collecting useful tips towards advancing DNA xp from nBioE to master. don't expect a 'how to do it fast' guide... but DO expect a useful set of guidelines to avoid constant failure.
if you hope to understand the new system, it is VERY instructive to re-learn the DNA grind.
my advice right now? don't drop skills to experience this troubling aspect of BioE... let ME do that, and let me complain about it and offer advice. nBioE to DNA1 and DNA2 is... tough. DNA3 and DNA4 still look like cake... but earn the skills, and learn from the DNA, and you'll do fine.

actually, no one's really "due" for retirement any more. I chose to retire so I can finish a thesis and get married

I wouldn't do that. Why would I want to kick you out? I'd miss you. As would lots of others.

Well, you did name the thread "Correspondent's blog"... you should have been more specific *which* correspondent.
