You can use a Weapon, Droid, and Generic Crafting tool to make them, and if you do it next to a WDG station, you should get the option to create a schematic at the end. But you won't get any xp from making them in a factory.

The only time that I get to choose between something is if I want it to be a real one or practice one. Do you mean the practice option? I tried that, but it didn't work.

Note that I'm not Novice Artisan.

Are you standing close enough to the weapon, droid, and general crafting station? If it is a private one, then try walking into the middle of the station. Sometimes in homes with more than one private station, the ranges of the station will overlap, and you will actually be in the area of say a food and chemical crafting station, which wouldn't let you experiment or choose a factory schematic using the weapon, droid, and generic crafting tool.

No "might" about it.

You can't make factory schematics with the Generic Crafting Tool. You must have a Weapon, Droid, and General Item Crafting Tool and be next to a Weapon, Droid, and General Item Crafting Station.
