I'm also working to master commando, I'm currently 0-0-1-0. Some things I have found:

when grinding unarmed, shoot healthshot 1 or 2 or both at a mob and then change to unarmed before you fire again (watch the combat spam, as soon as you see these two shots hit unequip your pistol via a hot key), run in and start hitting, you get all the bleeds and all the points for the mobs go to unarmed, this allows you to attack much higher level creatures

get some armor! I've got ubese because it is 60% kinetic and cheap

check www.swgcenter.com to see what mobs pack assist. Most banthas don't and the big turtle things on rori also do not. Take these missions(they pay good) and attack one mob, set up a camp rest (or stim) and repeat. Justbecareful when you are attacking the lair, if you pull two mobs outthey will both aggro on you.

Hey, my first Holocron told me to Master Carbineer and I was wondering if you guys could offer me any tips about the profession. Information about which guns, which skill line first, good combos, buffs/food I need, etc. would be greatly appreciated.

As of right now I am mastering the professions that I currently have before a homocron tells me to. These are Master CH(already Mastered), and BH (quite a bit to go, heh) I'm thinking that BH won't take as long because of the recent update to the profession.

Any info would be appreciated.

Everyone usually suggests going and getting fanshot first as it will greatly increase the xp you get, especially when in groups. I'd go for fanshot first, then work up the dodge tree, then fill in the rest. As another tip savage quenkers, or the regular variety, on dantooine are great for experience at any pistol level.

Good luck

I just got novice pistoleer a little while ago, and pistol stances 1 and 2... What are some good first skills? I was thinking marksmanship 1 then going for Double tap. Anyone have any suggestions?

Yea go up the techniques first if you don't have smuggler shots. I'm addicted to stopping shot lol. Also thanks Roustabout for helping me to decide what to continue up next to master.(dodge) Now I don't have to clutter the board with a lame post.

I'd go to a Med Center and find a tumbler and use a macro that heals their action points. You can also go to a cantina and find enteratainers, and heal their Action points as well. You would need alot of Stimpack B's. Just use a macro to target, open inventory, use item, pause, then use item again. It would work as long as that person doesn't leave. Or just have it auto target the closest person and then use item on them, that way you could heal multiple targets. I was getting 200 Medical XP every time i healed. Got Master Medic in two days.

I heard there were AE stim packs? I was wondering what they were called...

Also do I have to be able to craft the stim b's to use them or can i use them as a Novice Medic?

Yes you can use the stim b's. You would be better off to to buy a crate of stim b's from someones vendor. They will have more uses and be of better quality.

The way the new pet abealities work gives you plenty of incentive to train pets in groups. Simply tame as many babies in your level as you can, keeping only the ones that have innate abealities, and training them in combat to learn their abealities and earn more CH XP. When you run out of babies with abealities you've yet to learn, then head out and tame some more. I'm pretty sure after the first wave is done you'll have enough experience to tame higher level critters.
