I can answer that one easy...CL10 is obviously a creature that gets killed by nunas in one hit...or chubas in two.

they DID tell us our pets were still overpowered and that the pet crafting system is still borked....... but that they can't (or just aren't) fixing it as their highest issue atm

our lvl 10 pets WILL be nerfed eventually, BUT

given that some DE pets can have about 1.5k ham, 40% in all resists, MUCH higher dmg and much faster attack speed, are they really not as good as BE pets?

Droids dont get 40% Armor any longer. 20% tops on the Probots.

Just goes to show that Keldarin doesn't know his ass from his elbows again. The problem does not exist with just the low level pets, it's every pet all the way up the spectrum where someone has lowered the damage and increased the HAM (and vice versa). The problem is that you're not getting a fair trade off between the two while the CL rating remains the same. If you threw a 'tank' CL10 against a wild CL10 critter you'd most likely find that it loses because of this error, the same applies for all of the ones which are of a higher CL as well. By definition a CL30 clone should be able to defeat a CL30 wild mob because of the advantage of the bonus we gain to the stats, however in multiple encounters if you have bred out the damage from the clone you'll find its actually getting significantly weaker without the CL changing to reflect that.

Just for info, that is a confirmed display bug. The resists are 20% max.

well thank you, shian, i did not know...... can you please tell me where you read this? is it broken? being fixed eventually? (as in, will the resists show at 20% or will they later be made at 40% like it shows)

It would seem they consider a CL 10 to be 1000 HAM, 100 damage, one common special and no resistances. Assuming they will let you get a small amount of an upgrade for being bio-engineered, this is essentially what they want.

Until they reach this level, I suspect the nerfs will continue.

Of course if that's true, it just begs the questions of why anyone would bother making them or buy them.

It was stated from the very beginning when non-CH pets were added in game that they were meant solely for the point of everyone of having a funky pet follow them around. Not for everyone to have a tank. If you want to handle creatures, become a Creature Handler. It astounds me how many BEs and customers still cannot get this through their skulls. Bah, why do I bother trying any more...

Don't try to get it through _our_ heads...try to get it through the devs heads. We're just trying to play the game they give us.

Nancy--have to disagree with you here. Weeks ago, we were told that there would be NO "corrections" to CL10 pets in pub7. Then they popped it on us anyway. I for one thought to myself, after a fair bit of grumbling, "Fine. At least now we can get on with things. Two swats at CL10 pets should do the trick."

What we're seeing from the comment on Stratics is that the devs STILL think that, after two fixes, the pets are too powerful. This means that we can look forward to a THIRD (and perhaps a fourth, and a fifth....) nerf to the CL10 pets. All without Keldarin or one of his colleagues informing us what their "ideal" CL10 pet should be (or anything else meaningful about our profession).
So, instead of communicating through Talthazar, "Hey, we did a second correction in publish 7--sorry for making you look like an idiot there, Talth--but we're still not happy. We're going to reduce their power again in the future," we have to get this information through an interview on a third party site in a question posed by a droid engineer. Not a good way to enhance customer relations.

This is where they told us our pets are still overpowered and will be 'fixed' in the future

And despite what Talthazar posted, the pet checks remained in the patch notes even when the patch had gone live.

Pets
Added additional checks for invalid pets. Invalid pets (stats out of acceptable range, incorrect level for stats, etc) will not be able to called from the Datapad.
Fixed Factional pets to be able to attack Covert targets and turrets.
Pets lower than level 10 will now grow correctly and be called at the correct level.

If they just fix the crafting system there wouldn't need to be a pet check at all. The need to stop working onthe stupid pet check and fix crafting. If the pet check turns an animalinto a CL12 the animal should say CL12 whenyou make it. Period. You shouldnever have toworry when you make an animal and place it on your vendor whether or not the customer is going to come back saying its invalid.

And Octavius is right. CL10 animals were never meant to be tanks. That was posted by the devs long ago. You can have a fun little animal to play with or a neat mount.
