No, the fix to training a BE pet the ranged command went in today.

They said nothing about making the pet listen to it.

MCHs can teach the ranged attack command, for all the good it will do.

Since publish 6, the pets won't even use ranged attacks at random themselves, like they did before publish 6.

The ranged attack commands have never worked, best I can determine, ever since their introduction in publish 5, as a sop to offset the great CH and creature nerf.

Ranged atttacks and specials work on BE pets on Elicpse, i have a macro i figured out to make pets fire specials on demand, Ranged attacks have always workd for me since the BE cloneing line changes.

I have a dedicated account for a BE/Ranger and have spent alot of time with the clone system my self, and have alot of info.

ATM ther eis also a exploit which allows you to fire off the specials on deman they may not always hit but you can spam Strong poison 10x in a second and you can spam mild disease 10x in a second and also the same with KD and Dizzy.

if you have a pet that has Ranged / Disease and Posion its possible to get all 9 HAM pools diseasd and poison'd from 45m away, hehe you though combat medic was bad.

Now I know that's there's someone somewhere, seeing that these creatures ranged commandaren't working. Droids are getting all pumped up big time, why can't a ranged attack command get a ok we're looking into it? Just a little, it might take us awhile but we've acknowledge the problem and are working to get it fixed ?

I'm not gonna give up MCH, but I would like for what I have to at least work. Can it be that hard to let us know a little something ? Do we in the CH community have someone that represents us?

The ranged attacks are Item #6 on the CHIssue List. The devs know they're broken, but there are many many other issues that also need attention. If I get any new information I'll post it immediately.

So i figured that i'd try out my pets ranged attack just a few minutes ago, and to my surprise it worked... a system message popped up and said "Pet ranged attack mode toggled ON" and my pet started attacking from range... however, i tried to give the command again and the same message popped up telling me the ranged attack mode was toggled ON... isn't the point of having a toggle so that you can turn it on and off? Is this a known issue? Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this, thanks

This is a known issue. It's item #6 on our "Issue/Request List." You can work around it by storing and recalling the pet... but yeah, the inability to command it back to melee mode is kind of frustrating.

You mean they actually use their ranged attack when you tell them to, now?!
