I have heard that the more combat skills a player has, the less likely he is to get aggroed. Perhaps that is important, too.

I have found this to be pretty much true, except that it seems to be scaled to the difference between the reletive creature power and your reletive power. This might be tied to fierceness, level, ham, or a mystic "I detect you" number.

I did an experiment with flits on Lok. I had a toon with no combat skills walk up to the flits a bunch of times to try and figure out the average distance they argo. It turned out to be about 40m. Then I had a swords, brawler, tka walk up to them. Sometimes they didn't agro the combat monster until he passed through them. It kinda skewed the stats. We called this the scared sh*tless factor. Anyhoo, it was a good illustration of this whole thing.

I never heard of these things before, though I remember on the ranger forum a discussion about the 'hidden animal faction'. Seems like critters have their own faction standing although not visible (and rangers would get a lot of negative points). Might have to do with this...

My experience matches that of PlainWhiteSocks: I recently dropped from TKM to TKA 4320 in favor of Master Scout andTracker I. With my mask scent I can almost ride a rancor now, but as soon as I start sampling I'm getting aggroed a lot more frequently than before, especially by rancors and the kind.

i was a bio for a long time, droped it for shipwright what a huge mistake that was,., SOo now im going back on another server..

But in my days, i used Explore 4, +25 mask clothing, +19 jawa ale, and never road a bike.. I would eat Parwan Nutricake Burst run recover reduction, Cavaellian Creams or Starshine Surprise this will let you get up from being incaped before they DB ya.. And travel biscuts helps with crawlspeed, if added with terrain tapes, and here is another tip get rifle crawl tapes and equip a rifle and Woot instant speed.. Also if your build wants to include sqaudleader just get 3-0-0-0 and that will up your speed huge.

I never sample on a bike cant stand riding them especially on high agro places they are much more trouble than they are worth.. In months of Dna sampling i never got killed once tried mutant rancors a few times,, i hate dath soo i dont go there.. but i sampled on endor tons.. mereks, and the highly agressive spiders and the king of agro Gurrek prowlers these things will agro you from 100m+ and they roam soo they can be 140m away and next thing you know your agro'd.. never had a problem
