Please add me to the list. I've been wanting the cl on our templetes for a while, If not that at least they could give us official documentation!

I personay think this is a bad idea. I spend months studing the math behind the BE and now that I have a good understanding lets add it to a templet so all the noob MBE are equal. What makes me diffrent then a hologrinder? Tons of expermintation in order to perdict an outcome. I like the fact you need a physics degree to be the best MBE.

Oh yeah, I'm all for this... definitely the most frustrating part of being a BE!

Just add a CL value to each sample based on what CLthe sample would rate for its stats, not the parent's (ie. a Below AverageBol sample would rate as a CL21, even though the parent is a CL29). Also, put a CL value in the Generic Template that is viewable while creating it during the experimentation phase, and for each experimentation (eg. when you start the experimentation step you have a CL5, but after 2 points into Physique is updates to show that you now have a CL7).

I don't see this as being too difficult, just an extension of a system that is already in place, and itwould mean the world to us BE's!

For me it would be enough to be able to see (during experimentation) what CL it will be .. Sometimes it makes the difference. This way i should know before i choose the skin if its what my customer wants.
And believe me: its no fun to make 15 ikopis because 14 where just one level to high. (And antilopes dont sell *that* great... (g)

So because you went the whole way figuring things out in the dark due to inadequate documentation, you figure that everyone else should spend several months writing and re-writing their own documentation as you did? Hmmm, you work for a large software company?

I personally agree with this. I love the idea of the final CL appearing on the Generic DNA Template, and being able to see how we affect this CL as we experiment.

well i agree it would be a great thing. I mean to think that you know what CL the dna you have is so that you CAN uput it in the appropriate skin

love this idea!

I'dlike to be able to experiment the level up or down on the final pet making combine.

nice idea,

but not so easy to execute. The problem is that BE's have several skin "lvls". Lets say you sample dna from a very low CL animal, a gnort for example. You take 10 samples and make 2 DNA templates, whichhave about same stats.

Now if you use dna template one to make for example a BE gnort, the creature will be...i don't know... CL 5 ? But if you use the 2nd DNA template on a rancor the rancor will be CL 35, as the minimum lvl of that skin is 30.

Here are the skin lvls, as posted by Talthazar (BE correspondent). So putting the final CL on a dna template is very difficult as it will change depending on which skin you use

As much as I agree that we should have more control over the final creature level, these petitions are pointless - the devs have already said that petitions are a waste of time and they very rarely read the proffesion boards.
TBH I think we can give up hope of changes any time soon beyond fixes to overpowered pets, we've had our profession pass - its someone elses turn now.
