Thread: Clone skin minimum CL / aggressiveness rating Version 3.0
I can test some of the Novice clones tonight with a friend of mine but unfortunately my skill as a Bio-Engineer is currently insufficient to go beyond that. And it appears as though all of the novice clones are non-aggressive anyway so I don't know that will help. ![]()

Ok chief will do... /salute
On a related note... there is also another attribute I was curious about... Stalker: yes / no
Not sure how to get it to stick or if it changes anything just thought I would throw it out as another unknown ![]()

Far as i know, stalker yes/no, just means whether the critter will follow you after noticing you. Rangers get a message "You are being stalked by *critter*". Or something along those lines. Creatures that stalk follow you and will attack you if they get within a certain distance. The stalk mode initiates when the creature notices you (64m? or somewhere around there).
Don't think it has any bearing on pets. Its just part of the creature information you get on examine.
Sumo....excellant work.
I wish my PC wasn't dead right now... I can't get in much to do any testing to help the community here. Though I've been a silent MBE in the past... you and Tal have re-energized me to be more active.
Again...nice work to you ...and all the BEs who are working together on this.
Only suggestion is you flag the bugged ones (hermit and Merek) as such. Sooner or later they'll get fixed and people could get stuck with a pet they can't call.
I was a little surprised by the Bordok.
I was sampling near a herd of them a few days ago, and there was only one type of them that was red (a Roaming Bordok Stallion or something like that), so after realizing most of the herd was yellow I ignored them. I'll try and remember to check them again next time I'm on Endor.
Sumo,
I can confirm using non-argo, non-deathblow, low ferocity DNA will yieldpets Non-CH can use with any of the Novice skins. However,I got mixed results from using all argo, some deathblowing, generally higher ferocity DNA in Novice skins. Example: I made a Kaadu out of Shaupaut andMaverick Gualama DNA that had a CL of 8... it could not be transferred toa non-CH. System message said her datapad was full though we had been exchanging creatures to test all night. I'm not sure if this is a bug or an actual limitation on Non-CH pets. This has lead me to believethatferocity has to be below a certain number for a Non-CH to use (not sure what that number is though). So my test tonightwillfocus on trying to find the break point where a pet becomes unusable for Non-CH.

RE: Mereks...
There are no mereks now that aren't agressive.
However, the blurb about Mereks on an endor loading screen says they aren't generally aggressive, and live in small family groups.
Maybe back in beta (I wouldn't know...I wasn't in beta...), mereks weren't aggressive?
I'm glad Mereks don't count as an aggressive skin. ![]()
Sumo, I'm just getting odd results from this so I must be over looking something. Though I did notice one very interesting detail. I had a failure experimenting aggressiveness using high ferocity, deathblowing and aggressiveDNA in a squall. The end result left a squall that could be used by Non-CH. The odd thing is the action bar was about 1/3 of what it should have been... either this was a fluke or I missed something. Chances are I made a mistake... too badI can not fail on purpose to verify.
The only other thing that could have impacted this was the mixture of Below Average and Average DNA in the template. I just achieved DNA Sampling 1 so I'll try again with allAverage DNA to see if that makes a difference. I'm beginning to believe the quality of DNA has a much greater impact on the CL of the clone. Example I have noticed much lower CL's using below average DNA in slots 3 and 4. Even if the Below Average came from clones... CL drops significantly.

Actually, you can try to fail rather sucessfully but using a food/chem kit crafted by yourself (assuming no Artisian Exp. points it'll be like -10 to -14) and no stations around.
You fail a suprising number of times ![]()
The squall should turn out non-aggressive like ya got.
As to the action being really low... I will wager that when you failed on Aggressiveness that the Dexterity took a hit. Failing usually causes a non-associated stat to drop along with one of the two in the pair you were experimeneting on. So Fail on Aggression either Dex or End drops (the one that does goes up) and one other stat will drop. On a Crit Fail on Aggression both Dex and End drop and usually two other stats will drop.

This was the same thing I was going to bring up. Maybe way back when the game first came out Mereks weren't aggro?
