I am rather insulted to be acused of exploiting simply because you dont agree with what I

I personally can make these pets in three different ways, different DNA and no strange crafting
processes. They are perfectly legitimate to our crafting abailities.
Actually you are the one who is wrong. It IS a bug in the system. There is an error in how the CL is calulated and the devs are aware of this problem and have said it is not intended, and these pets will be brought down in power. So therefore, if there is an error in the code, and it it not operating as intended, that is the definition of a bug.
Stop trying to deny the obvious and what has already been acknowledged by those who know the system a lot more than you do. Be insulted all you want, it wont change the truth.

Hmm.. not sure I agree with the whole 'persecute those who make these pets' attitude that is becoming prevalent though. I haven't made them mainly because I cba doing it, so far.
Now I'm feeling tempted...
To my mind, if it really is that serious a 'bug' as the devs supposedly claim, then they'd make some effort to fix it. *looks at number of dev hours used to fix this bug* .... thought not.
We are not the game-police or the thought police.
I'll crack some of these babies out for my vendor later this weekend. When the devs ever get round to reducing their power, then everyone can worry about it.

I am SO sick of hearing this.
It is a bug. The devs have confirmed it is a bug, anyone who says otherwise is talking out of their rectal orrifice.
The devs have spent time working on it and I've spent countless hours collecting data on the problem and passing it on to the devs but this just isnt a priority issue, yet.
AFAIK the fix is still slated for some time after the CB, which personally I think is a bad thing, I have written lengthy documents on the implications of leaving such pets in the game after the CB and you can bet your ass I'm gonna fill the sandbox with them to prove my point.

I have grown tired and weary of talking about this as well, so you will hear nothing from me on this subject.
Today we receieved an e-mail from the education department at the bank about a new mandatory on line class we have to take on ethics, at first I laughed and said that's stupid you can't teach ethics (as is so evident is these forums)... then I realized it just outlines the rules of what is legal and what is not, because people cannot police themselves and make good descisions on their own, so you have to have a third party protect you from yourself... sad.
