Nah, MCH isn't worthless in PVP, before the CU we did little to no damage at all without very, very, very specially crafted pets, and in the CU, well, I've got to admit we do do a good bit of damage. (At least with Female narglatches). But of course, that DPS is about 3 or 4 times less than anyone else, and it can't keep up with anyone moving faster than a normal run, and of course has no specials. Vit loss being back just means another bug is in the system, we seriously are not supposed to have it in PvP, the developers even tried 4 times to stop that loss before getting it right :/.

Suck Whores Gayaxies?

How much longer, after your posts delve this low into the gutter, until you just say, 'enough', and let it go and move on? I've been back to the game for 3 weeks and have been posting on the boards regularly since. I've seen nothing but negative posts form you the whole time.

So I ask, how long do you, as a grown man, an adult, continue to playa video game you like to refer to as Suck Whores Gayaxies?

Do you have any self respect?

So, CHs are worthless in PvP now? I'm a MCH/almost-MBH - does this destroy my chances against Jedi because I basically only have one usable profession?

Your no Qui-Gon Jin! I have plenty self respect. But seriously, where have you been... wait a second. Thats right you came back..... while you where gone I busted my butt for over a year looking for the rarest creatures, putting all my heart and effort into my favorite profession in the game. Take a second and look at how miserably horrible it has become. Its in such a sad state that it is improssible to repair unless they completely start the game from scratch again. All the work I did, my achievments, gone to waste. Then to hear that CH is a waste of space now and not to be used in pvp? Now think about why I post neggativly and why I am so upset... thanks

This game is run horribly and I never seen something so pathetic happen before, one bad thing after another... the try and fix one thing, instead they change it and it backfires in thier faces, they then have 20 more problems. There is very littel hope you can have in this game, and I don't care if you have any, thats your opinion. I havnt seen a positive thing since the CU, so I dont post positive.

If you don't want to read neggative posts then I reccomend not reading this forum because whats left of the veterans on this forum tend to not have anything nice to say. We have been through tick and thicker and it hasn't ever been worse then this.

Whyd o I still play it? You got me, trust me when I say I wont be playing much longer, but for someone who hasnt seen alot of the real changes and for you to say that I shouldn't be angry? How am I to voice my opinion? You sure got nerve, I can call This game Suck Whores Gayaxies all I want, Like some call it Jedi Wars, Remeber when it was called pokemon wars... yeah well Thats the new nickname for it now, Suck whores gayaxies. Be proud you play such a well named game.

I can think of one positive thing since the cu. It has nothing directly to do with CH though. Any combat profession would do. At lvl 54+ I can now walk around most of Naboo and the NPCs are all grey to me and won't attack.

No longer do I fear walking around tending my harvesters as the evil Mauler sect are all lvl 30 and below. In fact I can kill any one of them with impunity as the others won't even come to help.

Yes life is much better for a miner with at least part of or one combat profession. Mine is CH cause I like the pets. I became CH in the beginning to protect myself when tending my minning equipment and it still protects me even with all the other bugs.

Now hunting or PVP? Not a chance with Just CH.

The interveiw said that Pets really wernet intended for PvP which is only 5% of the population anyways.

They never said they are removing pets from PvP.

Thanks for the clarification! That's a far cry from saying pets won't be allowed in PvP. Though, that's still a strange thing for the devs (or whoever was giving the interview) to say. Is that an exact (or close enough) quote? They are saying that as of right now, in the current scheme of CU, that pets are not really intended for PvP? And the person giving the interview is upper development?

Because if petsaren't intended for PvP, then logicallythe CH professionis not intended forPvP. I can guarantee that's not something that was mentioned at FanFest. This opens up a can of worms if we're only supposed to do PvE.

And what percentage of the population that is CH has to do with anything I have no idea. I still haven't been able to read the interview, so I could easily be misunderstanding what was meant by the "percentage" remark. On the face of it, though,it implies that because CH is a small population thatit's not intended that wePvP and, ipso facto, if we were a large population then PvP would be unintended for CH. It further implies that because we're a small poplulation that we aren't important.

This is what I would call potentially a game breaker, guys. Any more info on this?

Taken from the fan fest notes:

"When will we be seeing pet specials and resists returned

Next publish

Can you give me any details about the upcoming ch publish

Am generalizing what he said

Pets are now balanced and the upcoming publish will make sure ch is not an overpowered but balanced profession. He viewed pvp as being a very small percentage quoting pvp as being 5% of the overall gamersand that CH really didwas not a pvp combat profession. Like TH said in thebeginning where developers were having trouble defining the role of CH in pvp giving us the Jack of All trades abilities which will be coming in the future ch publish, I still feel from this discussion that thereis still a lot of uncertainty as to what to do with our profession."

I think it is clear from the fan fest that the devs feel that CH is not a PVP profession and are not about to do anything to make it more viable in PVP since they say pets are currently balanced.

With all the specials back in and working PROPERLY, (KD will be especially important, wonder if they can give creatures root specials....) it's hard to say, but I'd think that pets in todays atmosphere would certainly live long enough to spam enough specials to certainly turn the tide of any fight.

Finally made it to swgcreatures, and now I understand. I was under the impression there was an actual interview with a developer - didn't realize that what was being quoted were notes from FanFest. Milteckreports a "generalized"conversation with a csr from Lucas Arts. Presumably it was Miteck, anyway. The swgcreature article was a compilation of FanFest notes by different people, so it could have been someone else. You would think that a csr from Lucas Arts and the devs would be on the same page - that is not always the case.

I'll just say that despite what that csr said, my over all impression of everything that was said at FanFest, re: CH and combat, is that the devs do intend for CH to be involved in PvP. While they never specifically said that, certainly their intent is to make CH on a par with other combat professions. At no time, was anything said by the devs that could even have hinted at the idea that they don't intend for CH to be involved in PvP. Everything said certainly indicated that they want CH to be as viable a combat profession as any other. Though, I think it's fair to say that they are having difficulty fitting CH into the scheme of things.

So,it's a bit premature for people to start cancelling accounts or claiming that CH will never be involved in PvP. Who knows, it may be that CH will never be effectively integrated into PvP, but that's not a conclusion we can jump to because of someone's notes of a "generalized" report of an answer given by a csr.
