What's funny is that you think it's going to be Dec. 11.

Now, THAT'S the joke!

Tal, let me pick on you for a second. You have written in the past that our pets are a joke. No CH uses our pets. So it is fair to say that our pets are a joke. They are embarrassing.

Having said that, I have many good friends that are CH's, they are my clientelle. They stop by to buy Stims, Vits and food regularly. They dont laugh at us, they don't even laugh out loud at our pets... but may only have one out of 10 pets that are BE made. They have money and would buy our pets if we had some that were useful or even cute or nostalgic.

I must be one of the CH's you would laugh at. I am 3-3-0-4. I guess I do not understand the humor. In fact I do not have all the boxes filled in any profession except BE. But I do have parts of Artisan, Medic, Marksman, Scout, CH. What did I do wrong?

I've never had a creature handler laugh at me. I have however had creature handlers tell me bio-engineers should never be allowed to make anything better than what is in the wild. Their reasons are if a bio-engineer could mass produce uber critters it would make the creature handlers obsolete. What they don't seem to understand is they are my market. I can't sell uber critters to anyone except creautre handlers.

I know many creature handlers simply because I make vita packs and creature handler is so incredibly popular. You can't swing a nerf bat without hitting a CH. I've never sold a pet to a creature handler except as furniture. They buy my meds. Many of them buy people meds overpet meds.I don't think that will change a whole lot with the new clone fix to be honest.

Creature handlers love the challenge of finding rare and hard to find critters. There is no challenge going to the local pet store and buying deeds. Why even bother? I look at my target market still being the non-creature handlers. I think if I can make CL-10 anglers or other cool critters I'll be able to sell far more product. Look out yard trash animals. Your DNA belongs to me

I have to agree, alot of the CHs I know as customers or whatever are really as frustrated as we are that the clones are hopeless in many cases, but the fact is that our current clones are indeed a joke in the sense that they're bio-engineered yet inferior to the wild ones. There are some CHs who laugh at the profession and we have seen it many times, it's not a large majority of them (because on the whole we're generally ignored for our cloning skills) however because of the size of the CH community it's enough to be noticable and thats what hurts.

I'm on the corbantis server and people are always asking me for pets or supplies. From the time I became a Master, everytime I log on I have e-mails from people I never heard of for stuff; like stims, v packs, and even PETS; and I don't even have a vendor or advertise. The only problems I have ever had were from those wanting cowardly gurrecks, fambaas, and kimos. I find myself using /afk alot just to find peace. I understand everyone's responses and I'm just adding my two cents in.

I'm currently waiting for those kiddies to start fighting against us because we can make better pets than anything they can get in the wild for certain purposes. They're going to start moaning that they have no point to tame wild animals I can just see it now. However look at my signiture and notice the pattern... I REALLY hope they try to fight us over this new system

Nobody will have to fight you, they only have to wait until the players sort out exactly what the "uber" BE pet is, and a month later when 10,000 of them are running around everywhere the entire plyer base will scream out "nerf!!" and that will be the end of making better than tamed pets. The pet BTW, will be the largest kinetic resist/armor combo possible under 70CL, just as the graul mauler with ar1 and 75% kinetic was the "uber" pet.

Not that I like that, I'll be using whatever the "uber" pet is too, but that's the pattern for this team. They don't play the game, so they make bad desicsions based on incomplete data with no foresight to what the effect will be. Then they kneejerk an equally bad response to the problem they created with previous bad decisions and the cycle just continues.

Remember this is the second big creature nerf, and we've had2 big CH class nerfs. Every time a pet is found to be best at kinetic resist, it's days are numbered. Look back, Frenzied graul, Webmaster, Gurreck, and now Graul mauler, BDQ, even the mountain squill has no armor and resists.

They nerfed all creatures and pets for balance, you seriously think they will allow BE's to circumvent that balance with stronger creatures?

They just don't get that pets are not the problem really. Pets are not really what allows folks to solo red cons. Pets aren'tthe reasonthey had to cut 75% damage from PvP or that they had to put 30 second timers on special moves either (why even call moves you spam through a whole fight "special"?). It's the cpmbat system and rediculous damage amounts it allows players to output that is the problem. Without that pets would just die horribly unless you had a decent group, and soling reds would be a thing of the past.

Then again they haven't yet really come to even a basic design faoundation for a game that pits players in a PvE level based progression system, requiring players to increase damage in relation to ever increasing levels of creatures(ie: no soloing red cons), and a PvP system where players must be equals and they allow thos PvE creatures to take part.
