It will be nice to be useful, butveterinary practiceisn't the reason I took this profession. I hope they don't throw us this bone and forget the things we really want to see. And I also don't want to be the one sitting around waiting for the pets to come to me. Hopefully we can just sell the packs and be done with it. The profession requires us to be out in the field, not stuck in some clinic.

The pet stimpacks, at the least, are all useable by everyone. All 4 levels of them, A through D, have a mousover description that says anyone can use them. Pet medpacks don't that I noticed but that doesn't mean much.

Ok this is kinda cruel but let me tell you one way that i used to get sales during beta. As you all know the BE was a really unknown profession by many people, they had no idea what we did and I'd often get asked what the profession was about. On the whole there was still a struggle to make clone sales, but there was a bug where you could DNA sample someones pet which they had out thus killing it. Well... a number of times things went like this;

Me: Hi, would you be interested in a cloned Pet which is superior to the wild version?

CH: Really? What do you have?

Me: Well at the moment I can offer you a dewback, it's HAM 6700 and hits for around 300dmg. (this was of course when clones really were 3 times more powerful)

CH: Ahh no thanks then, i have THIS animal which is much better *pulls out something likea giant sand beetle*

Me: Hmmm nice. Well can i interest you in some food for it? *appears to start foraging*

CH: No thinaks I can do that myself *starts foraging themselves*

*Giant sand beetle suddenly flips over and dies*

CH: **edit**!!

Me: What just happened?! Geez, that doesn't look good.

CH: It's DEAD!!

Me: Wow how did that happen?

CH: I dunno. D*mn it. Errr.... how much was that Dewback again....?

You didn't! ROFL!

Now if we could all still do that you know the animation would get changed! I personally would love to see a laser scanner thingy. I would like to see a lot of things. Sigh.

I think that they are using this as ashort term fix to appease all of us BE's. They don't want to take the chance of nerfing CH's (too popular)and don't want to give us stronger animals because CH's are already too strong. Like someone else stated, I didn't join this class to be a vet, and for those of you who say "then don't", what other options are they truly offering us. This isan unacceptable response to our complaints, and itfeels more like a slap in the face than a positive class improvement. Did anyone ever post that "I wish they would let usheal creatures, exclusively." I'm sure that someone probably did, but 90% of the posts are calling for completely different fixes. Whose#$@ did they pull this idea out of ? I mean c'mon, why even do this, are you all really going to be content with this? WOW!

I don't care if everyone can use them, at least we will be selling something.. I just wonder what we will need to harvest to do them..I hope the players can stake em up..and it will be available for factory..

Anyways, I make 10k a day.. so I don't complain it will only make more money, more crafting more BE'ing

I just don't understand why you're upset. If you don't want to make the pet stims and med packs then don't. They're not taking anything away from you they are adding something so if you don't want to be a "vet" then don't be one.

I see this as a good thing. It means they are actually acknowledging our usefulness in some arenas. Most players have been trying to get CH's nerfed in some way. This does that a little. Most BE's have been complaining that they don't have much of a market or usefulness to other classes. This helps with that. This was probably fairly easy to implement and gives us a market. I'm tired of practicing on Carrion Spats between my breaks to harvest meat and get money to buy flora. This may allow me to sell the things I make and generate some money while trying to level up. The money from house pets is pretty spotty and I can't make the cool pets yet.

I don't mind being a vet during the day if it helps finance my mad scientist role at night. And, I'm optimistic that it means more changes coming down the line for us before too long. It should do the same for most BE's. Afterall, we appear to be an optimistic class.

Wonder if we will be able to make the new stims with a factory or not? Or is it the destiny of BE's to sit and click craft forever still?

What stat are you guys talking about? Something else is getting injured besides HAM? And normal stims can't heal it?

Pets get a new stat called Vitality that starts out at 100/100 and slowly gets worse as it gets incapped. Pet medpacks heal vitality. Pet stims heal HAM.

This is just an opinion now, but if they give us pet stims and pet meds, would that not be incentive enough for all the CHs out there to pick up that line? Especially since they are nerfing pets etc and they require much more work to maintain? Then where is the market for these pet stims? BEs and all the CHs who have that line will all be selling these things to the pet-holding public (when mounts happen). Do people come to us for mounts? No - they go to CHS because they have to be trained. So will they come to us for teh meds? Doubtful - CHs, who are also BEs, will sell them right along with the pets.

What will a BE be if the give us meds? A new part of the CH tree? I really dont want to, but I may have to join the majority and become a CH before the pet meds and mounts roll out, else I will be completely useless.

Just a few thoughts

I'm wondering if anyone knows the answer to this, but for the pet stims, how much damage can they heal? Are they more than what Regular stims heal (due to the larger HAMs of pets)? Also can regular stims still heal pets but at a lesser efficiency than the pet stims?

Thanks (just hoping something good comes from all this mucking about).

I would like to say that the pet meds addition to the tissue line is a good thing. It promotes the need for the BE as class, not just a hobby. I for one would like to see doctor pet healing have half the effect it has to make the new pet meds more needed.Maybe then there will be more the need for the BE as an addition to a hunting group.

I have no problem for this update and welcome it greatly. (Maybe the DEVs can throw in a bonus and have the exp generated from the pet meds usage, give BE experience instead of medical)
