First, I'd like to say, that RasoC's quote above is one of the funniest I've ever read. He obviously has no idea, who Tal-N is, and how much of a value he is to the bio-engineering community. I think he has one of the best (if not the best) comprehension of the clone crafting system since the BE revamp.

I too have been trying to gauge reasonable prices for pets, and it will vary from server to server. It isn't an easy thing to do, and I don't think I have it figured out yet. From my research, there seems to be varying principles on the subject, the base of a pricing formula typically comes from the CL or the HAM avg, or just the Health bar. Additional multipliers, or additions are based off of Armor, and Kinetic and/or Energy resists. Popular special attacks tend to add damage.

Good luck to ya

Pricing varies widely depending on the galaxy (server).

I suggest you competitively shop other MBE vendors to see what they are charging.

Or visit the Galaxy Market forums here.

As a general formula, ppl want Armor, HAM, Resists (either Kin or Energy), Damage, and Specials in that order. Armor and Kin Resist of 60% makes for a very valuable pet. HAM in the area of 10k adds more value.

I have paid up to 100k each for twins and triplets that meet these standards.

Bottom line: its what the market will bear. If you put them on a vendor at 50k and no one buys, you must try lowering your price.

Congratulations at being insulting yet again, Tal-N. If you can't usefully answer a question, don't post a reply.

My own pricing system is rather involved. I add up the HAM values, then add up the resists and multiply by 100, then add up the specials. Strong disease is 15,000 cr, strong poison is 12,500 cr, knockdown is 10,000 cr, light armor is 25,000 cr per point, etc. The less-powerful specials (stunning strike, crippling strike, etc.) are 2,500 cr each.

I then use an irritating formula for the attacks. Average Damage / Speed * Hit. This I multiply by 125, unless the critter also has a ranged attack, in which case I multiply by 175.

So by my pricing, this clone would run 57,666, which I'd round up to 57,670 credits.

I start with 1K per CL, or 1.5K if it has armor.

Add:

20K for strong poison (10 for med, 5 for weak)

15K for strong disease (8 for med, 3 for weak)

10K for knockdown

8K for dizzy strike

5K for ranged attack

Various +/- for how nice/retarded the customer is

So depending, the average for that pet would be about 69K

DOH! Boss just yelled at me. Breaktime is over. LOL
