That rocks.. I have been experimenting personally and can backup what you said. I may still be a noob in the game but I have figured out somethings. Also how when your trying to make a CH pet and you fail your experiments and it ends up being a level 10. LOL

I am a novice Bio-Engineer with only 0-0-1-0 so go easy on me if this question sounds stupid. How does one control the fortitude? Does one add up the fortitude stats (to a total not to exceed 100)from all the 5 DNA samplesthat are added to their slots or can each individual DNA sample have a fortitude not exceeding 100 points. The same question applies for the 250 max for hardinees and the 50 for power? Thanks for not flaming a lowly Bio-Engineer and his journey towards master.

PS. Not a holo-grinder. Not that it matters but I am not one.

I been working on BE for fun but i am getting annoyed on my pets because i cant make one in certian lvls or anything, what dna sample did u use for your lvl 10 pet, and did u experiment on the pet?

Consider it 5-starred Tal

One thing this does seem to show, or at least point toward, is thatCL is based in a series of cut-off points and ranges of values, i.e. a series of lookup tables, rather than a straightforward additive formula based off the actual stats.

My own very limited non-ch work (only a dozen or so partially written up creations) does not contradict anything posted here - the non-CH market has never really been something I was interested in or supported - but if it might help anyone I am going to add in here the final template and creature stats of the few low levels I fully documented in the last 3 or 4 days.

CL13 Kaadu

  • template stats 75/11, 75/336, 78/83, 684/334, 33/43, K14, En14, Stun Vuln, All others 0 (not vuln)

  • clone stats 1396/1396/1432, K14, En14, B/H/C/El/A 1, S Vuln, 2.16, 0.25, 45-50, Int, None, No range

CL12 Kaadu

  • template stats 100/10, 100/341, 74/82, 684/334, 75/45, K10, En10, B10, Stun Vuln, All others 0 (not vuln)

  • clone stats 1845/1755/1450, K10, En10, B10, H/C/El/A 1, S Vuln, 2.16, 0.25, 45-50, Int, None, No range

CL9 Kaadu

  • template stats 123/46, 112/122, 95/1, 690/5, 25/1, K7, En5, B2, Stun Vuln, All others 0 (not vuln)

  • clone stats 2221/2006/1827, K7, En5, B2, H/C/El/A 4, S Vuln, 2.49, 0.2, 30-40, Stun, None, No range

CL7 Kaadu

  • template stats 123/1, 114/132, 83/86, 689/10, 25/4, K7, En6, B1, Stun Vuln, All others 0 (not vuln)

  • clone stats 2221/1988/1647, K7, En6, B1, H/C/El/A 0, S Vuln, 2.49, 0.25, 30-40, None, Stun, No range

Early implications from those, based on observations in this thread, comparing the CL12 and 13 particularly;

  • Kin and En resist of 11% or more adds 1 CL

  • Other resists add 1 CL once they reach 10%

This could explain the 1CL difference in the top 2 (K14 and En14 is +2CL, Blast10 from the CL12 gives that clone a +1, giving a net difference of +1 for the CL13 clone).

I suspect that there are similar breakpoints at other resist %'s - e.g. Kinetic resist over 30% adds +1CL, over 50% adds another +1CL, possibly similar for energy, less so for other resists. It seems very obvious that each resist has a CL cost that far exceeds its equivalent HAM value - e.g.the additionof 10% to kinetic resist adds 1 CL to a CL10 pet (which represents a 10% increase in HAM in a 1-on-1 fight) while adding 50% or more to the HAM of a CL10 pet doesn't increase the CL at all.

One other question: How does one avoid double digit resists or is there no known equation and its kinda a luck of the draw?

There is a formula for resists. Typicall for many of the stats you find that they take certain percentages of the stats from the dna in their slots. Arranged in 30% for slot 1. 25% for slot 2. 10% for slot 3. 10% for slot 4 and the final 25% from slot 5.

So lets say you had dna with 50% to a damage and some which is 20% to the same type. Arranged as 50/50/20/20/50. That would mean the calculation is roughly15 + 12.5 + 2 + 2 +12.5 meaning the total is 44% for the resist. So that allows you to judge how to avoid double figure resists.

Hmm - I use a resist calculation based on 40% / 25% / 5% / 5% / 25% that seems to predict very accurately (within 0.5%). The formula you state does not hold with the data I have at all.

Thank you for the clarification regarding resists? Does anyone have an answer to my previous post regarding how to keep Fortitude from going above 100, hardiness under 200. Thanks again!

Simple, just don't use dna which will mean it starts higher than 100 to begin with and avoid experimenting on it too much. If you have dna in all slots which has more than 200 fortitude then you can bet it'll start too high anyway. It's not exactly possible to explain HOW since there are so many species with induvidual stats, you'll have to learn how to control it.

Like the rest have said Tal-N. Great post.

Do we have any word/idea if these pets will be consisdered "overpowered" though? As far as I'm aware, we still haven't been given any guidelines as to what is unbalanced. Sure they fixed the dna, but what if they decide that these cl 10's you're making are still to powerfull?

Well like I said in another topic, we're seeing clones which have the minimum damage possible, that is equal to CL1, while the HAMs look to be just short of what you'd expect from around CL18-20. That basically means you might consider it balances since the actual effectiveness of the pet sits between the two figures which is CL10 since that is the average in terms of purpose. The difference is though that this doesn't seem drastically overpowered like the old ones, so I'm inclined to carry on and see what the devs do since it's now a case of needing to be tweaked rather than outright repaired.

The clones are running a bit hot yes, but certainly not overcharged like before

Tal-N, you are a godsend. I may be on the low end of the BE food-chain on my server, but after recieving what (to me) was a very big offer for 8 CL10 pets, I was feelin the pressure. I couldnt seem to get anything near what I wanted to stake my reputation on for these folks. You, sir, have saved my Bio Engineered.. err engineering arse. This buds for you mate!
