I got one about a month ago (about a week after I started the game) - got a disk off a Sleemo Creep which when decoded turned out to directions for "buried treasure". Went to the location, 2 goons popped and attacked then I was able to dig up a vacuum container with a busted vidscreen and a tape in it.

I didn't know what the tape was at the time - (+2 pistol), probably just as well as 5 minutes later the tape and screen **poofed** along with the Vac container and disk.........

Don't you just love those cuddly little bugs........ (**cries**)

The container you pick up at the treasure location will poof after 10 minutes. I'ts not a bug. You need to remove anything inside, or it will poof with it. I even tried running to my house and dropping the treasure box on the floor-still poofed.

'this tape will self destruct in 5 seconds'

This may not even be known, but is it theoretically possible to find a tape for ANY skill?

Also, if you found two tape for the same stat- would they accumulate?

Ive found a nice place that drops alot of armor attachments, that have things like +5 riffle accuracy, but all they seem to drop is armor attachments.

im a wookie and thus all i can use is skill tapes, anyone know a good dungeon that drops good ones? im not talking about the +1 BS tapes you get off random things, but the +5 tapes, or the +2 in somthing and +3 in somthing on the same tape.

looking for skill tape drops, do they exist? a good place for them? all im finding are the stupid armor attachments.

+3 defenses vs posture change up and +2 riffle accuracy

or + 4 carbine etc etc

were are the freaking skill tapes!?

Just wondering, I am a master architect on scylla, and I keep hearing about people having skill tapes that increase architect experimentation. I am just wondering where you would aquire such items? who makes them? or are they looted? Just a simple question, would appreciate the help. Thank you.

They're looted items off NPC's. They're extremely rare. As in, easier to find a Holocron than find a useful skill tape that's higher than +1 or +2. Don't count on finding tapes with +10 or better on them because it's widely reported that they no longer drop. I know that dark jedi masters used to drop really uber tapes with multiple skills at +20-25 on a single tape, but I dunno if they drop tapes anymore nor what quality they drop now if they do.
