Thread: Spread the word: a public service announcement.
I think its very limited. Depression has kept me from dealing with my vendors, and earlier today I noticed I'm still selling high level pets. Haven't sold any addatives thou. And the guy who ordered 4 full runs the day before the news hit, hasn't gotten back to me. (that's kewl thou, I totally understand that)
On the topic of getting money back...
You can if you really want to. SOE will do it. There are gov't agencies both in the US & in Europe that are willing to 'bust balls' to help consumers. Just look them up. There are threads about it in the NGE forums. Just get to them quick, I hear they get deleted fairly quickly.
(wookiee/gurk lovers seem to make some sense lol)
Our guild is debating each day this
We'll probably move even we all love this world most.
Some of us wanted to stay and hoped it will not be that bad. They came from the TC very saddened...
I worked in social sciences and made some research about virtual communities years ago. There is always a silent majority. Be it discussion list, forum, whatever, name it, the normal acknowledged proportion is about 90% silent to 10% loud voices. Seems to be natural. It's not always that people don't read. They read but don't feel like posting.
I happened to be standing in the village on bloodfin about 10 minutes after the first posting by the brawler correspondant and we thought it was all a joke. The LETTER OF DOOM was published then and we began to realize that there was no point in being there.
On bloodfin anyway, the population that goes to the village knows. The jedi know. And hey ... who cares about the rest of the customer base anyway? <--- lest anyone think THIS is my point of view it is not.
My town knows. Random master BE's who I meet in the street know. I have been /hugging them. They say ... yes? Can I help you? .... THEY don't read theforums - at least not the BE ones
But they know.

I've actually sold a LOT of pets from my vendors and had custom requests from people getting my name off the forums. When I mention the changes and tell them CH is going away, the response has usually been "Yea. I know. I decided to use my final respec to try CH since it will be gone. I love it! I can't believe they are removing it!"
I've also been getting LOTS of requests for deco pets to represent CH's creatures they are going to be losing. I had one ask me to name them "Name - RIP 15 November 2005". It was actually kind of sad making them. ![]()
Notifying other people in game is a good idea. I've actually received almost as many emails in game from people warning me about it as I have goodbyes from people leaving because of it. *sigh*
