Thread: Grinding is taking FOREVER. What is the best item to craft for BE XP?
Total resources used x 2 = Experience
Micronutrients do not only use 15u of meat. They use other stuff as well. Practice modes gives you a bit more % of the experience.
In terms of needing a "crafting station", the macro is still possible. You just need an extra /nextCraftingstage and /createPrototype no item in there and it will work.

I already have 2 /nextCraftingstage and /createPrototype. Do you mean by "extra" that I need 3?
Micronutrients may have other ingredients besides 15 meat, but with very little investment I was able to craft 100k of flora in 4 days. Flora is basically free. Enough meat to master BE not only costs a LOT of credits, it also takes weeks of buying it off every planet in the galaxy. I try to pay less than 5 cpu and I can never collect more than 10k meat in a day from the bazaar. And you need 74k to master BE. If meat can be found for 3 credits, it will cost 221k credits of meat to master, vs. 442k credits using constrictor cloth.
What I'm saying here is that you may be able to get more exp for less total resources with constrictor cloth, but the time required to collect meat is the bottleneck you'll run into. Micronutrients have the most exp for the required meat. Scent camo is almost as efficient in meat usage, but requires 25% fewer total combines. For only an additionl 4k credits due to less efficient usage of meat (136/20 vs. 104/15 or 6.8 vs. 6.933). So I'm going to continue to try to fix my crafting macro to work on Scent camo.
Got it working. Adding the /nextcrafting... did the trick. Just cut 25% of my grinding time off. YEEEEE HAAAAA!
In the time I did the math to support my case, two people responded. I need a calculator.
Just type: 2 * 2
In the search field and see what you get
I agree DataOutlaw. I reached DNA Sampling 4 before I even leveled any of the others. I started on endor on just sample mereks like crazy. Thanks to the others for the suggestions. I'm going to grind out Camo now instead of Micro Nutrients.
I'm halfway to Master BE. I'm at 2-2-4-2. Ive gotten even apprentice pts for master when I get there. I should be done by Friday at least.
Well, here's what I've been doing.
I've been crafting Constrictor Cloth. Which cost 50 resource and gives me 100xp when I don't do a practice. I make up 50 units andgive them to a Tailor who puts it in reinforced panels, then I get another 150xp. The remainder of the time I just do practice and get the additional XP. Reinforced panels require metal which my tailor always seems to be needing. I guess I'll just have to carry some cloths around withme and try to get any tailor I meet to use them for free.
I'm completely filled up on DNA sampling XP, so I'm either hunting to make money and get resources or grinding. I haven't bothered making very many pets, since they are still weak. I use them like artisans use bone segment panels. They are my equivelent to signs. I have a Blurrg sitting at a desk in my lab, working as my receptionist. Good thing he's got high mental stats. His typing and filing still needs some work , but he does make a good cup of coffee.
I wasn't sure what the macros were I could use to speed up the process. Thanks for everyone who posted them in this thread. I will make sure to put them to good use.

I have found DNA Sampling to be the easiest thing to skill up on!
Me too, plus it's enjoyable imho. I've never "ground" dna sampling xp, every time I sample it's because I intend to make something useful from it, it just happens naturally for me as I enjoy making animals, and I've made it up to level 4 on that in about a month. But I guess those "master-in-a-day" type of folks will find it time consuming *shrug*.

Oh I totally enjoy everything I do. I just don't want to even bother selling my Pets and Tissues until I reach Master BE.
I love going out and doing sampling. When I want some really good stuff I go to Endor and Lok. That's when my Ranger Wayfaring skills come to good use. I can't wait to have my Tailor make me up a set of my "Field" clothing with my Scent Camoflauge tissues added. This should give me the same scent and camoflauge abilties as a Master Ranger. I hope anyway. If not, I'll just have to add /burstrun onto the end of my Sampling macro. ![]()
Has anybody heard that the ability to change the color of the pets we create will be added?
Yea, the color thingy was in one of the BE developers notes as I recall.
As far as waiting until you're master to sell creatures, I'm having a blast doing it now. Even with just sampling 3, experimentation 4 I'm able to make kahmurras that are around 2.9k HAM and do nearly 200 points of damage. People marvel at them and they are always sold out on my vendor a day or two after I put them there. People have come in and told me how crappy their Rock Beetles or Cowardly Gurricks are by comparision, and how they paid twice as much for themwhich makes me feel good about it.
The really funny thing though is that I'm making these great creatures, and the one I use is still one I made when I was a noob: 2.5k HAM and 150 points of damage, lol. I still love it though. And here I am a tailor and BE making all these great clothes for people with all kinds of bonuses, and I still haven't had the time to make myself a pair of new duds, lol. Busy, busy busy.
