I'd recommend you crank out BECs in the practice mode if you are attempting to move thorugh the OC branch in ahurry.

If you just do Stim As, it will take a very long time to level up. You can use the BECs in the Stim Bs you'll start making at that point, if you didn't use the practice mode. You do get slighly (10%) more XP if you are in the practice mode, to compensate you a bit for the resources you're expending.
