Thread: Where is everyone...the forums seem a little dead...
Thats the thing. BE's a bit stagnant.
We cater for 3 professions, yet we seem to be the b*****d child of SWG.
Not quite crafter, not quite anything, tbh.
We are limited by what we can do for chefs - only one type of tissue is actually worth making in mass - nutrition tissues.
We have a nightmare to make large quantities of Tailor tissues due to some fairly difficult resources that aren't popular (eggs, milk anyone? even things like insect and wild meat aren't easy with docs paying anywhere from 100-250cpu foravian).
And finally, the only thing that is *great* about the profession is creature crafting. We can do amazing things, which, may or may not be classed an exploit, however this is extremely labor intensive and not incredibly profitable for the effort we put in.
As a profession I feel we've been marginalised. How many of our 'top 5' issues have been addressed appropriately?
All in all, this sounds like a negative post, but for some reason I love this profession, and have nointentions to quit (except maybe when I make Jedi or JTL - Shipwright). I'm not trying to spread dissent, however I fail to be surprised at the effects this has on our numbers, and burn out rate. The fourms are dead, because nothing new is posted, because there isn't much new to talk about.
(Final Note: I did not forget Base cracking, just it's almost insiginificant. Really, how manyBE's on your server do base cracking regularly?)
(Roll on the Flamers...This is bound to get someone in a huff.)
