first off yes the price will fall asap when enough idiots sell for undercut prices.

2nd it atkes definately alot work and resources to build droids in factory, u need tonns master artisan items, we cant mount them and they eat batteries faster then u a BigMac.

and DE dont have anything like tissues to sell. so pls if u compare things compare the whole professions and u will see bio eng and DE are not unbalanced or destroy each other. most ppl will prefer creature pets anyways sadly, cuase lesser maintain aka batteries and repair kits. we cant heal wounds of pets with a piece of food or a trick

regards

Actually, I would put forth that droids with crafting stations in them are the DE equivalent to BE tissues. BE get to help out Tailors and nor Chefs with our tissues, DE get to help out all the other crafting classes with droid crafting stations.

I go agree though the DE and BE are *very* balanced. Even if you only consider the be nonCH pet vs. the DEcombat droids they are balanced. BE pets have much better tanking ablility but poodoo for damage where as the combat droids have decent damage (for a CL10) and not so good tanking ability. Add to the fact that you can now have out a single pet/mount/factional petand a single droid at the same time and you can have apretty good combo. Send in the pet to take aggro, then you and your battle droid blast away. It makes being a novice marksman pretty easy...

remember also that the reason vehicles are so much faster than mounts is because the DEVs dont want this to become a copy of a japanese anime cartoon revolving around monsters that come out of pockets. For the same reason, they are probably trying to decrease even further the non ch pets out there so that only people who need companion pets (SLs mostly) and display pets will want the lower level pets. CHs will still want our goods because we can out do most of nature when it comes to pve pets (pvp is a joke for ch).

numbers wise, 2.0 is not our fastest, I got a level 75+ gurreck that has 1.7 speed (AGGRESSION).

You sure about that? I dont use a organic pet myself. I do keed hereing that you cant have out a droid and a pet at the same time now due to a unannounced change to CL 13 for combat capible droids.
As a side comment to this thread I've personaly never had a problem with my droids. (grated, I dont have the animal side of this frame) I usialy use my droid to pull and hold aggo while I'm plinking away with my little popgun, and healing it. My personaly best with this method is my probot taking out 3 ferrial banthas, all hitting it at the same time. (then the fourth came up and spluted me, but it was going good before that)

Absolutely you can have out a pet and a droid at the same time. I do it all the time. I have two CL30ish cats and a wimpy probot with a crafting station in it. I pull out the droid in the field to make templates while my kitties rest up.

I can see how a non-creature handler would want a CL10 4K HAM animal (yes, you can get kinetic over 10%) and a droid. They get two nice back ups without expending any skill points. Just make sure to buy a shee-ite load of batteries.

Pets don't need batteries either. 65K for a CL10 droid is insane especially since they can be cranked out in a factory. You can't ride a droid either.

Besides, if you others haveever been out with droids, you'll notice they draw aggro more than the pets and they get owned quickly. The non-ch pets survive longer, even when the combat droids seem to really have nice stats.

And yer definitely right about the price, lol, someones laughing all the way to the bank.

Just saw this posted from a droid engineer who's selling combat droidson the farstar trade forum:

HAM 1666

Attack speed 1.54

To hit 0.36

Damage 118-128

Armour 40% (max for a droid)

They are on sale for 65k each.

Interesting huh?

That droid is so pathetic it wouldn't last long in battle. My pet wookie can hit for 2000 points per hit with AoE. No pet, other than my wookie of course, does that. So damage is just not a factor when it comes to pets of any CL. As to HAM and resists, it wouldnt last long. Sure there are droid stims now, but who cares.

I can make food that gives a 4k HAM boost with a 12-14% kin and 3k health to start with CL10 BE pet is something that can tank. So droids are still useless and something that is useless doesn't sell for 65k unless it is a painting.

droids suck for the most part...... don't even think about crying nerf on those droids seeing as how nonch pets don't need batteries, can't be mounts (not that thatmakes much of an effect though), canuse special attacks (you can make a nonch pet with strong poison and strong disease with enough work), can be given food to increase their stats, andhave MUCH betterHAM statsto begin with

the benefit with droids is they can be used right out of the box and don't need to be taken to a ch to train it for you, and they can be mass produced

however they require MANY resources as opposed to 5 samples and some meat and flora

You dont use the droid repair kits do you? Look reality, pets are good, yes. Droids are good for people that have experiance in handeling pets from EQ. (send it in figt a bit, stop heal, contues fighting.) The system seems to be roughly balanced from what I'm hearing. I starte reading this thread thinking that I would see a fact that makes thing unballanced. I realy havnt if your not a CH.
And as far as someone "laughing all the way to the bank"? Thats kind of hard to do when people dont buy em. I, as a master DE have as yet to sell a droid with combat modules in it. Then theres the sheer amount of resoiuces that it takes to make one. (If you want a count I can get one for you) Then theres the amount of combines. Yes they can be done by factory. But thats alot of factorys to run at one time to get a cookie cutter droid. If some one wants some thing diffrent, thats alot to do by hand. (for a R3 adv full combat it took me roughly 30min to make by hand. I know someone is going to say "I can do it faster")
Even BHs seem to shying away from droids as much as they can. but still they are the only ones buying droid stuff consistantly. I would imagian that BEs have a little more steady of a trade, considering I see nothing but BE made pets running around with people.
I'm sorry if I sound bitter in this post but I think I'm working on that. I still do plan on doing BE with one of my charicters. Mainly because I storngly belive in looking at the other end of the complaint before raising to much noise.
