The reason i became BE i always been a combat player and always bad at it so i decide to get a new account and be a crafter, my guildmates sugested why dont you do BE and i said well is as good as any crafting profession (ignorance from me becauze never been one) and realize what a great and fun profesion it is and i never even read the forums to do my grind so sample branch was a pain the only thing that keep me going was the tought of sampling huge creatures and after dying 6 straight times trying to sample a GDK
i got a smile in my face just remembering came to the forums and find out theres no way you can do it
.
Now i use my combat char to gather resources to keep crafting and also made me some nonCH pets that was very rewarding, mow i read constant the BE section of the forums and look forward to share my adventures with you
p.s. next time i will try to sample ancient krayts

FS grinding? The rates for converting sampling and BE crafting are better than all the other crafting professions. Throw in the mask scent/scout xp and you have a nice little FS grinding machine....plus, you can make a few credits to boot.
900,000 weapons XP -> 30,000 FS XP -> 90,000 Sampling XP
A piket may get 5000 weapons XP for killing it...but a BE can sample repeatably. Each piket for a combat char is 5000/30 = 166 FS XP. A BE gets, say 3 samples on average, 3*500/3 = 500 FS XP per...
Just a thought about the future of this great profession.

Im not sure thats the fastest way to do it...get commando 4xxx buy up a lot of Thermal Dets and PUPs and nade the lairs or mutant/giant baz nitches in a solo group...the splash dmg gets any critters near the lair and it gives pure combat xp.
I cap 300k combat xp in less than 1h hour. at a conversion of 3:1, thats 100k FS, or over 300k FS per buff session.
Id be surprised if dna and scout got you a skill every buff session...

True, but sampling is free.

That is one of the down sides of Nading
I know a WS so Im hoping to help him cut costs by helping to supply the materials he needs, but still it can be pretty expensive...

All the more ironic that I didn't have BE as a holo...(My first 3 were commando, tailor and I gave up at carbineer

When I picked up an alt, it was originally intended to become an entertainer. Not a very smart choice for an introvert...
Then I decided to switch to BE (my original character was at that time an MCH). Well, I started to get disillusioned about CH (dang auto-storing!!!), so when my main dropped CH, I had my BE take up chef as well since my PA badly needed one.
I finally went on a base take down, and I loved it, even though I had no combat skills. Now I want to drop chef and master some more medic skills, but I need a guild mate to take up the chef spot
One thing I am not doing, is giving up BE. It is a very useful profession!
