I used this pattern as well and got decent results with about half of them ending up 10 and half a bit above (because my experimentation results were too good).

I also tried (with good success) VD, HP, HP, VD, LPB although more of those became novice CH pets than CL10.

Oops, I guess me charging 10 - 20K has been too low??

LOL!

I charge the same prices you are. Obviously I've had tons of orders but that also gave me the opportunity to do a lot of experimentation with the new system. I have a knack for making good CL10 animals with little or no trouble.

Selling between 10K - 20K has made me a multimillionaire.I've even given a good number away for free. Its all monopoly money anyway. I'll be able to buy a spaceship someday if that ever happens.

I followed Tal-N and Buboopadoo's formula with my success.

Rule #1 Fortitude 100-
Rule #2 Power 50-
Rule #3 Hardiness 250-
Rule #4 Dexterity 200-
Intellect 200-

Add this to the technique with the voritor dasher/huurton pup samples and you should see some success. Also make sure that resists are no higher than 15% I think.

I sell lvl10 pets depending on the grade:

3K+HAM 45K,

2K+HAM 25K, <50%of what i end upgetting>

1K+HAM 10K,

Typically all have KN and EN resists 12% or less and low damage

...I give the rest away to new players if stats are lower (they come back and buy from you almost every time). I also add 10K for custom specials like strong poison/knockdown.

...I have also gotten requests for high damage lvl10 and have managed to get 1K HAM with damage up to 180-190 so far. Basically a reversal of the VD VD HP HP HP type formula with VD HP HP HP VD and no experimentation in physique.

What kind of stats are you getting using the VD HP HP VD HP? What are you experimenting in? I experiment once in physique and depending on failure or not, I don't experiment again. What does putting the 2nd VD sampling in the 4th slot give you?

About 150K per pet is my goingrate...I charge a buttload because I hate to do them It's a pain in the butt to deal with the majority of people who aren't creature handlers and therefore don't know the ins and outs of CL, resists, HAM, and specials. If you want a more detailed descroption, check out my post in Argarell's thread on Bad Customers

I'm a little confused about using VD for non-ch pets - aren't they aggro, and aren't aggro pets uncontrollable by no-ch's?

I've been trying using pikets etc, but mostly I'm getting cl 11 - 13, with only 1.5K - 2K HAM - I guess the resists are too high or something, as the stats are all within the correct experimentation range, and maybe the extra specials are raising the CL as well??

I have yet to get anything close to a CL10 with over 2K Health.

As for price, while I'm experimenting, I'll still chuck them on my vendors for about the same price and see how they sell. I just finished making some CL 40 - 50 razor cats for a friend, and he paid me 100K each, which I'm happy with. Seeing an 11K, Light armour, 60% kinetic, strong posion Cat sure beats my old wild gurreck

VD's are aggro but because you're only using them in 2 slots (not the aggression slot) and using CL 2 Huurton pup DNA in the other slots...the end creature is not aggro. I've heard about the problems using picket DNA...no one that I know of has been able to make a CL 10 pet using Piket DNA. The VD and HP DNA works the best for 1st Gen pets...that I know of...also when you us VD don't experiment too much, cause if you get too greedy then you'll be way over.

Yeah you're right about the aggro skin= aggro creature...I was selling a bunch of CL 10 Anglers (they look cool and are fast) and I got like 3 or 4 messages back saying that they couldn't control them. There is a thread out there that states what skins are aggro and which aren't...plus it tells what the minimun lvl or skins are.
