I'd have to agree with Aurthur...

I havnt had my MBE tag up in ages... (uniform marshall is cooler anyway, lol) I put it up one day... then after that hellish 2 hours I decided I'm never flying that thing again..

whenever I get:

somerandomtard tells you"can I get some uber _______?"

you reply"if its not on my vendor don't bother me cause chances are it will never be"

somerandomtard tells you"why"

you reply "..."

(10 mins go by)

somerandomtard tells you"you still there?"

you reply "nope, I logged out about 15 mins ago, sorry you just missed me...."

somerandomtard tells you"well I guess if you don't want my business/money..."

you reply "if I needed money (which I don't) I'd keep a wide variety of ______ on my vendor.. "

I originally picked up BE to make pets... pets got borked, chef was revamped.. now I use pretty much 2 whole trees of my profesion.. and I don't even like making tissues anymore (save for tailor tissues just cause thats my 2nd business).

Heh, i've kinda turned BE into my "charity profession". that is- i make pets for fun and when i find a CH that i like i take them to my house and say something like "take a look at these and tell me in your opinion which is the best?" Then they tell me and i give it to them for no price. I just like making them happy, it's a lot of fun to see their reaction from getting a pet that's better than anything else they have and that they can still use. I've only done this a few (read: 2 or 3) times, but it's alot of fun to find someone who's fun to talk to and give them something useful.
As far as my tissues for chefs go, i'm a bit of a hard @$$ about pricing, and i've told just about every chef i've worked with that the prices will depend "on how i'm feeling". One chef that i had worked with for a while was discussing a run of +117's with me and told me that while my prices were 3 million/run he could get them for alot less, around 2-2.5 million. I simply told him that the meat was a pain to get and the resources cost me alot so the runs wern't going for anything less, and that i couldn't care much less if the runs sat on my vendor untill hell froze over. needless to say, i dont' bargain and he got the point .
Oh and i also haven't had my title up for more than about 1 minute for a long time- and the last time i had it up was because i saw a MCH and wanted to show that i was a BE.

I've done that more times than I can count. CH's need all the lovin they can get. My favorite is to make a really nice pet that nobody has ever asked for like a Ronto or Thune. Then I just trade with the first MCH that I find. It's really cool. Most ask how much before accepting the trade, I tell them nada. Alot of the CH's didn't even realise a BE could make the pet I gave them, or that the stats could be so good. It's my way of staying sane by making something other than a Rancor or cat. Man I get sick of those. In fact if a MCH asked me for a Sharnaff I'd probably have a heart attack and die on the spot.

As far as the title over my head, well.... for about a week I got a few tons worth of tells. Couldn't figure out why. Seems that the game reset my title to MBE and made my toon searchable. I haven't wornthe MBE since, and I check the settings each time I logon just to be sure.

This is too funny.....

I just had a CH ask me to make a hima Black Sharnaff. This is one cool a$$ looking pet. I never knew they could be black cause I never made one....lol. I really miss how they huff and puff when they are fighting..../cry.....no sound from the pets as of this last publish.

Yea, the whole gurreck/razor cat thing has been done to death. Personally I use a slice hound, a squall, and a "pig" (whatever those things are called) as my main pets. Last week was "bunny" week at the zoo, as I made several of them. Hmm, now I gotta think of what this next week will be, maybe "spider" week, lol. Oh, and for the "ultra hip" looking pet, try a Ronto. Those things look... Evil. I have one featured prominently inside my shop, lol.

Afew creatures I never have requests for.....kinda sad really...

Tybis, Savage Guf Drolg, Ronto, Gualama, Mawgax, Blurrg, Vesp, Dune Lizard, Verne, Snorbal, and the Mott.

I think this largelydue topeople not really knowing what Bio-Engineerscan and can not create.

I had a very sick but, wealthy, Wookie Chefask me to make him a Non-CH bug that he could role play with. He wanted to pull the pet out andhave it follow him aroundwhile he screamed, "Fur Mites are after me.....AAAIIIIIIEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!"

Immediately, I thought of the Shear Mite but, then I remembered.....it's aggressive. A hermit spider just wouldn't be the same. Anyway, I gave him credit for trying to RP and the idea but, had to turn him down on his request. What really smelled was the fact that he was going to pay me 100K for itjust using yard trash DNA.....he said it didn't have to fight a thing. ggrrrrr. I hate to turn away easy credits.

For what it's worth, I tried using a tybis for a while, and it was terribly slow. There's a good reason why no one asks for them. Lizards, on the other hand, are underappreciated.

Hey PlainWhiteSocks,

I spoke with the Wookie Chef again in Coro and asked he if would be interested in a Daly to play the"Fur Mite" rolland he happily said, "Yes!" I had totally forgot about these little guys falling in the CL 10 category. I get them mixed up with the Klik....lol.

I appreciate your suggestion.

Here's how I deal with the frustration of being a BE: I only do custom Chef (and some tailor) orders. I'va amassed about 6 million in credits in the 2 months since I became MBE, and that's enough to keep me comfortable for a while. I don't have a vendor, I simply offer items to the tailor or chef's respective vendor when their order is complete. I don't make items anymorethat call for stupid ingredients (like eggs or milk or mollusks), and I have very little problem selling anything I make. I have several repeat customers, and the odd one here or there who orders some tissues. Whenever someone asks me if I make pets, I say "Only if they're for crappy mounts or for furniture". It works well for me, since I can throw large runs together in the factory, then go work on Carbineer. I don't know, it works for me, means I can spend my limited play time doing fun things like killing rebel scum and stuff, instead of getting DB'd over and over again by mutant rancors, etc.

I take pride in having a good stock of the full complement of BE products on my vendors, but I also fall into the category of those who won't haggle in price with anyone. I make high quality nutrients, tissues, and pets, and based on my repeat customers, I believe my prices are reasonable. Whenever someone gives me the, "But I can get this for $XX elsewhere" line, I wonder why they're bothering to tell me this and tell them that they should just shop elsewhere then. Eventually they always come back to my vendor. I'm alsofine with having a load of nutrients sit fordays to weekswith no buyers, since I'd rather spend my time making pets.

As for custom CH orders, I will take them occasionally via mail, and I make sure to be very specific about what it is that the CH is looking for and what I can reasonably do for them. I love working with CH's who know pets inside and out - it's a fun meeting of the minds for a Geneticist-type BE and an experienced CH to hook up and talk pets. The ones I don't like to deal withsend meemails like, "are u a BE, can u make me a cool rancor???"

And "Breeder" is by far the best title in the game.

BLah Blah Blah... maybe we have a mental anguish suit here... I think this trade forum violation stuff has a direct coralation with NO VENDOR's FOR BE's!!!

It is discrimination and they are trying to drive us crazy!!

GMAN
I moved to Corellia I have no vendor and I don't know the coords to my house, but it doesn't really matter cause all my pets are in the tool box, I may have some in space, but that doesn't really concern you either.
