Thread: So why are you still a BE?

My answer is easy.

2 x10. I'm really stubborn. I still have my DIVEX dvd player. If I stuck with that piece of crap, then it'll take a crowbar and dynamite to remove me from here.

I am #6. Although I am starting to feel the first tinges of being bored with the class as I've made alot of money and theres not really anything new left to do as a BE that I haven't done.

I am basically waiting to see if I can get another holocron and see what it says to me. I have no other class I want to be at the time, heh. So why not let the holo decide for me, I don't care about the Jedi thing, just the random factor will be fun. The only other classes I am even at all leaning towards moving into are Chef(I like classes that are the underdogs or are rare), Ranger or back to Riflewoman but this time going for Master Riflewoman.

I still like it. One of my characters is a CH/BE, so it's nice to whip up my own stimpaks, as well as make fun little components for my tailor character. Sure, it's an awful grind (worse than DE, which my tailor is also a master at), but to be able to whip out a mount for someone in a matter of minutes, and to make all the necessary support components myself for my CH half, I still like it.

Believe it or not, still #6 and #3. I still have a lot of fun playing a BE in spite of the problems. Having heard the horror storries from other MMO's I've played, I went into it expecting problems in the first place. I had an idea of how long it can take for changes to happen sometimes. I plan on being around a long time.

I have two accounts. The Master BE is only used for weekly grinding of stims for my PA and when storming Imperial strongholds. Strangely enough, it was more fun grinding through BE than it is now that I'm a master. This is a game and its supposed to be fun. BE ain't.

Add to your list:

#) Because I am spending more time with my other characters.

Well, here goes:

#1: With the correction of dev singular instead of devs plural. I'm convinced there's only one guy working on the whole BE project.

Add a mix of #2 and #5. I find the dev's continued consternation and complete inability to create a deadline absolutely dour. I know he'll get a round tuit eventually. If he'd be kind enough to send me his (or her) address, I'd be happy to send him my round tuit on loan until the BE project actually does get done.

Season with some #6 and #7. Nobody's ever accused me of being sane... not that got back around to me at least, and sometimes I actually have fun being BE... I mean... making killer attack ducks for my friends and newbies I come across, and there's always the long stints where I'll camp out on dantooine and flood the bazaar with pet vit packs... 1 pack that heals 22 points sells for 2700-3000... I'd charge more but the artificial economy created by the bazaar forbids it.

In all honesty I'm beginning to have a hard time justifying leaving the account open at all... sure it's starwars, but I'm not interested in sacrificing my career to spend enough time to unlock the FS slot (which to me is what starwars is all about... really, how much time in the 6 movies is spent without a jedi or force sensetive onscreen?), and to be quite honest, I took up BE on the sole grounds that I wanted to create creatures. Beyond petstims, I find the entire tissue line to be a complete waste of my time.

I said some time ago on this board in jest (I honestly didn't think I was prophesying reality) that it might be after thanksgiving before we saw the real bio-engineer fix... Really this game has left such a bad taste in my mouth I don't care to even log in anymore. Every time I log in bugs stare me in the face... /tell quits working randomly, /guildchat works sometimes but quits at random and you can never know if those in your guild can hear you because theirs may not work while yours does... things you've reported via /bug months and months ago (or even during beta) get fixed in a hotfix patch only to be broken again in the next patch so in order to work the system properly you have to send in another bug report that'll likely get ignored until 9 other players notice (and report) the same exact bug.

So to not answer the question... I don't know why I'm still a BE because I don't know why I'm still a subscriber.

i would say im a 9. i picked this class not reading the boards and now i hate it. it is not what i thought it was. i am just going to grind thru it and get mater than drop it an blindly pick another bugged prof. maybe ranger. but i wont just drop mid way cause im over halfway and i finish what i start, even if i run away and come back to it later. i did that with artisan and i will prob do that with wep smith that i droped after just 2 days. tho i will stock pile supplies before i drop. I'M CRAZY not stupid.

I have invested to much time into becoming a BE to drop (until i am completely fed up and will drop the entire game, not just BE), plus im making good money. I made over a million credits in a 1 day span 2 days ago and avg ( now i said avg not every day ) 250k or so a day. I like the creds. If you ride out the next 4 - 5 months you may see some improvements. Several months ago i forcasted a year befoer they'd fix us. If they get it done within that time frame.. will be pretty close.

Optimistic/stubborn/patient... still a bit of the #6 enjoyment left in it for me as well. I've got my pet stim and tissue operation so automated that I pretty much just pick stuff up at the factories and sell it, which leaves me lots of time to work on other professions, take care of guild matters, or make a broken clone or two.

#6, but essentially i'm just waiting to see these fabled pets we'll be able to create that aren't in the wild, and our amount of clones "doubling", then i plan to ditch BE. only so many people need rancors or gurrecks, and i'm still fishing to have enough to warrant buying my factory.

I'm 3,6,& 9. 9 being, I haven't grinded to master, although I have helped several other fellow BE do so, I'm not in a rush. I'll get there eventually. Not to mention I'm trying to get a PA hall by myself, so I keep myself too busy to be bored.
