I don't recognise all the creature nameon that list, but I'm pretty sure there aren't any fliers or snakes. Any creature experts that can confirm that for me?

No snakes or fliers on that list, but that does offer a tremendous variety of shells for the making. Finally will I be able to have my bioengineeredBoccatts, and customized to boot Personally I want black ones with silver highlights because everytime they do they're little honking grunt it reminds me of wolverines

The only worrying thing that I have with this new patch is the trickle of reports I'm seeing that say creature stats have been nerfed across the board, from the highest to the low. Now some balancing was to be expected, and in many cases needed (graul mauler and rock beetle are prime examples), but if there are major changes in how effective pets are in combat then there is going to be a tremendous amount of collateral damage in BE.

But then again, that might be the idea overall, to lessen what people so often call this game: Pet Wars.

Wow, now THAT looks awesome...but alas, there is always a downside!

The creature level adjustments have me scared like you wouldn't believe. I mean, if a GM loses armor and 40 percentage points of kenetic resist, CH's will be ALL running for BH and Jedi. If most creatures at 50 and below get this treatment (cl I mean) CH's will drop like flies. Or maybe they brough back the Frenzied Graul to replace the GM tanks..but that's a CL50 bugger and kills previous combos. Bah, I see this as a monster combo killing patch. The new interation of GM is weaker than a GSP...pre-patch GSP of course.

If CHs will be forced to buy Grauls with those kind of stats from BEs, many will be upset and just give up CH altogether out of rage. I see many CH's would rather drop skills than be forced to buy a worthwhile pet instead of being able to tame something nearly the same.

What's the problem? If the pets got nerfed, then, presumably, their wild counterparts got nerfed too. So your new wimpy graul will get to kill other wimpy grauls. If every monster in the game is half as powerful as it was before, then a CH will be able to kill just as much with his creatures, and a combat character will be able to kill more. What's not to like?

The only players this actually nerfs are CH's in PvP. They have to use new wimpier critters against PC's that have not been nerfed. Oh well - does anyone actually PvP now that we have item decay?

they just adjusted the CL's' of all creatures systematically to me more accurate. canyon krayts are now 300k hitpoints. im not sure i would call that a nerf

I guess my point is that if the CL of a CH's pet got lowered, he can go train something with the same CL as his pet used to have and use that instead. If a CH's pet has the same CL but is less powerful, then EVERYTHING with that same CL should also be less powerful (that was the point of the balance - to make creatures with the same CL have the same power). Either way - if I guy ran around with a level 40 pet before, he should still be able to. And he should still be able to solo other level 40 things.

not really, since the lvl's are distributed across the CH skilltree much differently now. either way, we will still be able to provide better creatures at any level, so im not too worried about it from a BE standpoint.

"For info - the 'new' version of the graul mauler is CL36, with zero armor and 35% kinetic resist (no info on other resists atm). Since wild creatures CL must be calculated using the same formula as we will be working on for baseline (not-CL modded) creatures, it looks like we are looking at a wholesale kneecapping of creature stats. Oh, and to use this (now worse than a current grand wrix) you will need more than 50% of your CH boxes filled.

So, to all the CH haters out there (and there are some on this forum, god knows why) looks like you got your wish, we are going to be next to useless in a couple of weeks. And don't worry about being vets any more, cuz there won't be any CH left.

Yeah, I am preaching doom and gloom, but I am **edit**ing well pissed off by this"

sooty i hope this issimply an overreaction. everyone who has ever used a graul mauler knew it was the most unbalanced pet in the game. now itsbeing changed to be in line with other creatures of its level - how can you say the sky is falling withouteven having the chance to seethe entire picture yet?

it sounds as if they are trying to balance creatures against the player classes better so that the game doesnt revolve around the very graul mauler you are upset about. currently it only requires 3/2/0/0 yet it is the tank of choice to use oneven krayts by master creature handlers. that isabout as unbalanced as you can get. so the graul mauler isnt going to be the best pet available for pve anymore -its stats will change in the wild as well. all creatures wild stats will be changing sothere is no way to judge how balanced things are by seeing half the stats from one creature.

whats really odd is that the graul mauler was the only pet i remember being specifically mentioned for significant revision. and the changes to creature handler are designed to come down very hard on the dabblers so how exactly is needing half the profession complete to be able to use a pet that is half the max levelavailable atmaster any sort of suprise?

this is a massive change that will affect every part of the game and its going to be very interesting to see how it all works out. really are only two choices for now - either try out ch on test center or wait and see.

The mawgax in cloning IV is a flier. But, no, I didn't see any snake types.

Mistakes like this are when you *really* need an edit button. :/

The mawgax is NOT a flier. I was thinking of a gulginaw when I wrote the above. My apologies for the confusion and disinformation.
