Too bad, but understandable. Do you think it is a bug that identical tissues in one slot don't stack or is it meant to be that way?

Its the way it was designed. I'm not sure why its that waybut it was in the patch notes quite a while ago that identical tissues used in a single slot would not stack.

Yea, I read that too, but that was before they added the multi-slot stacking, so now I have no idea what they were thinking. Probably just some technical hurdle that they don't feel like spending the time fixing. No way this is not a bug though.

It's a real shame, as having stacking within a single slot would allow us to make high bonuses of the "combat/scouting" bonuses. It would also make adding nice medical bonuses to the gunman's duster viable, which would be really nice. That is actually a very popular item among medics because if done in white or green it looks like a medical coat.

I tend to agree with the idea that having too much stacking, especially of the melee defense would be unbalancing... this mostly stems from me trying to figure out what clothing will benefit me the best. Unfortunately, being a wookie, I really come up with not a lot in terms of BE value-added clothing. Looks like I get to choose between 2 tissues for defense or mask scent, but no backpack. The synthetic cloth clothes aren't too bad for wookies, but not nearly as good for other races.

Not sure what you're referring to here. There really aren't many clothes that don't take schematic cloths, so anyone wanting medical or entertainment bonuses can choose from almost anything they can wear. Only difference is that if you're a wookiee you can pick from maybe a dozen items, but if you're not you can choose from perhaps a hundred.

As a wookie, you can only get the 'combat' tissues in the battle padding. You could conceivably get a sage's hood with +25 medic treatment tissues, and then either +25 entertainer tissue (if you do any performing) or +25 taming tissues into it. A Wookie Sage's Hood is the only item that takes four separate slots of synth cloth. Next best thing is the Loose Dress...not something one is inclined to wear out in the field.
