A couple things. Let's try to keep this to BE related items. This isn't the merchant forum, and I'm not going to take away from BE's by adding merchant related items, etc. Also, this isn't asking for developer requests although it may be a jumping point to open dialog about them. Asking for things like more storage, isn't likely to get much of a response, especially since we've already been told they're not going to increase storage.

Just incase #10 falls more under something the tailors will ask then I'd like to ask if they will be taking a closer look at the petstims because at the moment the exotic materials for them simply do not justify the usefullness of them.

A reatively easy to make petstimB can have around 750/35 by simply adding an adv. BEC. A petstimC with an adv. BEC gives you around 900/38 despite using the very hard to gather and specific dathomir insect meat, and finally the petstimC requires almost three times the materials and are exceptionally rare but normally give around 1200/42 again using an adv. BEC. Given that both fish and insect meat cannot be harvested in mass amounts like the talus fungus you cannot simply have them increasing by a standard +250 to the power for each stim, the fact is that 750/35 stimBs are more than ample for any CH and can be mass produced in the hundreds unlike Cs and Ds. It would be more beneficial if you had Cs being 50% more than Bs and Ds being 50% more than Cs.

That would mean a typical C (and an adv. BEC)would be 1125/52 and the typical D (with adv. BEC)would be 1687/78. These figures in my opinion would be alot better justification for the fact these are hard to gather animal resources being used on animals which can have well over 12k of HAM, a normal stimB heals half of your normal unbuffed player's HAM and 1/4 of a fully buffed player, the stimDs are able to totally heal an unbuffed player in one shot and 1/2 of the HAM for a fully buffed player. It's not unresonable to allow CHs to heal around 15% of a CL70 pet they have per dose, especially when the enemies they use them against cause around 1500 damage per hit every 2 seconds anyway.

What is a legal pet?

I'm not sure about this one. Really this is a very complicated question. Say a legal cl 10 pet is no more than 2500 ham, no more than 100 damage and no more than 20 total resist. Does this mean a valid cl 10 pet could have 2500 ham, 20 kinetic and 100 damage? Well, probably not, Anyone who's done many of them know to get 2500 ham, you have to sacrifice the damage. And that's just cl 10 in a system that goes up to 70. Would a better question be what is the maximum cl bonus we can get on a pet? What do you guys think? Would you rather ask for a better explanation of the cl formula given Keldarins reluctance to give us any formulas?

It would be better to know how much of a bonus we get, that way we can look at wild animals to draw comparasons as I have been doing already. Also can you PLEASE remove all of the old and now defunct pinned topics from the forum, it's cluttering the first page up cause there's so many there now and most aren't needed anymore.

I would say the most important question is:

1) What is the formula used to calculate CL?

Having good documentation on how CL is calcuated will resolve most of the grief we have now. Even if we can't get the approximate CL listed on the DNA template as we experiment on it, knowing the CL calculation would be good enough

Next I would ask a similar question:

2) What is the formula used to calculate the HAM?

I would love to know that 600 Hardiness and 512 Fortitude would equal 11,000 health. Even if there is some random factor involved in your assembly success on the final combine, I would like to know the approximate calculation so I can estimate what it going to be.

Then another slightly related question:

3) How does the final combine affect the stats of the creature? Does the quality of emat and flroa used have any effect? Does the combine success level affect the stats of the creature?

The HAM formula is hardiness x 18 = health, dexterity x 18 = action, intellect x 18 = mind. Usually accurate to within around 200 points of HAM.

It's not hard to see whats legal, if you make a CL30 clone then it should legally have the stats of a CL35 wild animal. If you make a CL10 clone it should have the stats of a CL15 one. That's because as Keldarin has been saying all along, we can make clones equal in stats to wild ones several levels higher.

1. Can we please get a CL indicator when crafting pets? Please?

2. IMO, getting 700 points for sampling a Bark Mite Burrower Queen is great. But if I craft a pet with 5 BMB Queen samples, souldn't I get more than like 300 points? I think crafting points awarded for pets is too low.

3. Why can't i harvest from a creature I kill with my evil BE Needle of Death?

4. When do you plan to screw this profession up again?

I tried to think of questions that related to the "fun" factor of this "game".

1. What are the definative formulas used to determine clone stats? Math is not fun alone..but mystery is just plain frustrating.

2. Why did you cap the sampling level at CL75? If someone wants to make an untamable pet...let them. Some of us sample for sport and the higher end mobs offer a true challenge.

3. Why cap the Kinetic/Energy resists to 60%. We were hit hard enough (CH and BE) by the lack of Medium Armor. Just let it be another trade off in the final CL equation(whatever that is?) and remove the caps. It is disheartening, thus less fun,to have such limitations.

4. Are critical failures working as intended for the BE profession? The current ratio is just depressing.

5. Are you ever going to consider allowing any of the AOE attacks to be put into clones? These attacks have the potential to bring the CH class up a notch in the PvP arena, in which they are not much a part of since the CL70/Med Armor nerfs. As an MBE/MCH/Ranger with no combat skills, I sometimes miss PvP and with the new GCW changes on the way, this would be a good way to bring the CH back into this aspect of the game.

6. Why shouldnt a Master BE be needed to place a Cloning Center? It is a logical requirement and puts the BE on the list for city development requirements.

7. What's on the horizon for BE in the name of fun?

Thats all I got. Thanks Talthazar!

Lots of good questions here..I'd hate to sound redundant, but he's taking the most asked questions, soooo....

1) Can we please get a CL indicator on templates or perhaps in the process of making them we can adjust up or down as was implied in the initial class... perhaps after successful experiments we can choose up/down on adjusting a set of traits.

2) Please PLEASE let us harvest (and loot for that matter) from what we've oversampled.

3) I also would like to see a couple fliers be made available to us (and consider this a vote for the Pharple too!)

4) Either give us more color selections for pets, or perhaps tie in with yet another class and allow Image Designers (whatever they're called) to do small enhancements on our pets with our permission (maybe eye colors, horn or teeth, extra length/shortness in certain things, etc.)

5) How about upping the limit as to what we can sample? I for one would like to try and test the upper limits of high-end critters (being an almost master BE/Master CH) and want other high-end beasties to sample from besides rancors..how about that Blurrg Raptor? heh heh heh...

6) As far as the DNA sample stacking issue, I like the concept of standardized DNA samples as was discussed in another topic here..

7) Do you foresee in the future special skill modifiers for the right class combinations? (In D&D they're called "Prestige Classes"...perhaps a BioEngineer/Chef can get certain tissue bonuses or a CH/BE can control a slightly higher single pet (like a CL 80!). I think there could be something to this idea.

8) If fish is going to remain a staple for high-end tissues, can we please either fish from the middle of a lake in our landspeeders (like a backwoods show!) or how about getting an artisan/tailor who can make us crabpots/traps or even nets?

9) I have no question no. 9.

10) Um, can we please sample the primitives? (korga, pubam, drall, selonian)....no? well, I had to ask...

Here are my questions:

1. When is the documentation coming? Or at the VERY least, when are we going to be given the all clear that the system is working as planned? I haven't sold any pets to anyone outside my guild in quite some time, as I'm not 100% sure that they aren't going to suddenly become inactive, or nerfed in some way.

2. Where are the flying and/or slithering pets? I would really like to have at least one of each to make.

3. Documentation!! I know this is my #1 question as well, but I would REALLY like to KNOW what stats to what, and how to get the special attacks I want the pet to have.

4. Some BE quests that will give us some interesting class only items. Maybe a DNA sample container of some sort. Make it only able to hold DNA, and have it hold 25-50 samples. This would go a LONG way towards making sampling excursions much less frustrating.

I guess that's it for now.

Thanks for letting us provide some feedback. Its always nice to feel like you are part of the process. However small a part, a part none the less.

1. Can you stop dna from being lost from critical failures on the templateplease?

2. When can we expect to get some documentation on the BE system?

3. What is a valid pet?

4 What are the plans for the future of the profession? When can we expect new clones?

5.Why don't we have any flier or snake type species in our clone list when we asked for them?

6. Are area of effect specials not transferring to clones an intentional feature or a bug?

7. Why don't we have a realtime indicator for the CL rating as we experiment on the template?

8. Why are there no skill tape for the BE profession? Every other profession can get a boost from them but us.

9. Can we please have a dna storage device which has less capacity than the amount of dna within?

10.Why is there only one creature we can sample from that will allow us to make cl 70 clones?
