Thread: Pet Vitality Packs
Hey,
I'm selling some Vitality Pack A, and they remove 2% of Max vitality to the pet. A customer asked me if a B or C would remove the same amount of Max Vitality. I didn't know what to answer... So I would like to know if any of you knows exactly what % each Pack removes? Is it 2% for every pack, just the amount of Vitality healed that changes?
And, another quick question, the best Vitality Pack A I did, was Strenght 22. Anyone knows the max strenght of Vitality Pack A ?
Thanks,
If you use a vita pack on a pet using the example 30/100 and your pack is +35 the pet's vitality will be no higher than 65/65 when you are finished. You can't use two packs at the same time.
Vita packs work the same as weapon repair kits. Once the vitality goes below 100 it can never be 100 again.
The vitality loss % for an A or B or C is something I haven't been able to figure out myself.
If your packs are good, like master, they will only remove one point.
im a master and used a vit A pak and lost more than 1pt

Oy... did any of you actually test this stuff before making blanket statements? We had a good thread about this a while back, but I'm too lazy to find it - so instead I will post my Vit data for ya (I put it on my vendorto informcustomers).

Orig. Vit Pwr/Type Res. Vit
(tested by me)
92/100 80 C 99/99
97/99 80 C 98/98
96/100 80 C 99/99
20/100 80 C 95/95
20/100 37 A 84/84
74/100 80 C 99/99
74/100 37 A 95/95
73/99 61 B 97/97
82/100 92 C 99/99
(reported to me)
66/100 51 B 93/93
90/100 37 A 98/98
Findings seem to show that high powered Vitpacks can reduce overall vit loss WHEN the amount is significant (at least 10 or so). This is still research work in progress, I do not guarantee you will have the same results.

So in other words, no, it is not 1 pt. per 10, at least not in my experience. And yes, power makes a difference. Still need more data though -I think there may be some random numbers involved.
"If your packs are good, like master, they will only remove one point."
This is such an incredibly flawed statement, have you actually tested this? Anyway, as you can see from the above, that is completely and utterly inaccurate.
I won't make blanket statements of fact, but will give you my experience with vit packs.
You lose at least 1pt for 10pts of damage healed (or part there of).
You lose additional pts of permanent vitality if you use a vit pack that isn't stronger than the vit damage on the pet. Using a 20pt vit pack on a 30pt vit damage pet will result in more than 3pts of vit damage.
I've seen nothing that persuades me to believe A vs B vs C does anything other than give you a larger possible strength on creation. Vit A 30pt, Vit B 30pt and Vit C 30pt are all pretty much equivalent.
Last pet I healed for someone was a 67pt Vit B on a 52/100. The pet ended up at 94/94... so it was more than 1pt per 10 (or there of) but close enough.
"You lose at least 1pt for 10pts of damage healed (or part there of)."
This is simply not the case, in my experience... it is what I expected before I actually ran some tests and got some results. If you look at what I posted a few messages up you'll see a few instances where this is the case (it is less than 1pt per 10 healed).
It is a very good rule of thumb though. 1pt per 10 healed.
Not the exact equation, but close enough until we have a few hundred datapoints to show otherwise. Don't use a 20strength on a 50vit damage pet because you'll incur extra damage, don't use a 90str on a 10vit damage pet because you're throwing money away.
You could use either but the advanced components made no difference than using the regulars so you actually wasted resources by using the advanced items.
It may be that the developers "fixed" that issue by requiring the advanced components. I've not tested this yet however.
