He said right in his recipe his samples were AA. His level only matters based on experimentation pts available and where he is using them.
Stay with this one Loomis. This is a nice Non-CH pet using easily obtainable DNA. Please answer these questions.
1. How many experimentation pts are you using and in which areas?
Phys____Prow____Ment____Phy____Aggro____ (fill in the blanks)
2. How many experimentation pts do you get?___
3. Give the stats of the Meat/Flora you are using. (may not matter)
4. What level of success are you seeing mostly?

i've used this combo before. i make sure the... crap can't remember...phys (the first in the list for the health) doesnt get over 500. i usually only xp once here.
then one for the mind. and that's it.
if you see that you can improve it do not exp in the... crap it's late... aggression and the last one. those have to do with damage speed and amt. incr these can jack your critter up way too high. you may be able to max the phys and the mind w/ no prob.
