that reason being mostly to auction uber loot and huge stacks of resources =)
seriously, I'd rather have a sticky thread here along the lines of "post here if you're looking fora BE" or our "BE list by server" thread than having to check the trade forums every 30m, since thats about as fast as the first page cycles =)

As for posting to the Trade Forums..well that is the reason why they are there. The profession forums are for ppl of the profession to have a place to talk. We now have a nice thread with BE's on the different servers listed. I see absolutely no problem pointing ppl to that thread. In fact, it might be faster for them to check there and PM or gmail than to wait for someone to answer their thread here or on the trade forum.
