Thread: FAQ
Dor has asked me to post a link to my new CReature Crafting Site .....
It's a very new site i have created dedicated to the creature crafting side of BE, there's only a small mount of info on there atm but as i get more i will update it, it includesa dedicated forum sections for recipes and a section where Dor, Nam and myself are posting our information we are collecting which will go towards keeping nam's BETool updated with DnA information etc.

1. 2 . How do I grind up to Master BE - DNA Line
Lammergier posted the following on this thread:
my [Lammergier's] advice for DNA sampling xp:
- novice BioE to DNA1: CL2. if you're feeling really lucky, try CL5's.
- DNA1 to DNA2: CL17-22.
- DNA3 and up: CL35-40.
sample nonaggros only. sample dense spawns, and fast respawns. /sampleDNA and /sit. bigger CL's mean more xp... but you get more xp/time the less you fail.
I'm regrinding the DNA line now to make sure it still works post-CU... with double xp, DNA 1 took about two hours, DNA 2 about an hour and a half, and DNA 3 and 4 about an hour each. the low end is definitely tedious.

How do Igrind up tomaster BE?
You'll want to grind:
- advanced BEC's (lokian wild wheat/tatooine fiberplast) at 80 xp per unit until you get tissues engineering I.
- micronutrient supplement (MNS) at 100 xp per until until you get tissues engineering III
- continue making Broad-Spectrum Nutrients (BSN) at 168 xp per item until you turn bllue
- for variety, you might try making some pet vitality A packs at 152 xp for the enitre unit and putting them on the bazaar, but it is way more clicks than a MSN and who knows if they will sell.
For grinding the DNA true look here
PS. xp gained derived from swgcraft entries ... not verified by me.
PPS. Do not FORGET your INSPIRATION BUFF
Predicting Pet Level - The BE Tool
Here is the post where Nam's BE tool (based on my combat level calculation and other people's formulas to predict health etc.) can be found. It is no longer at the link stated in Kao's post (above).
The official tool posting is here
Dor
Why can't I sample that?
First of all, check your inventory. It might be full. You will just fail repeatedly with no other message if your inventory is full.
Second. Check the level of the creature you are trying to sample. Here is the maximum sampling level for each box of the DNA sampling line you get:
novice BE: level 12
DNA I:
DNA II:
DNA III:
DNA IV:
master BE: level 75
(You will have better success the farther away you are sampling from your maximum sampling level).
Third: There is a bug in SWG that does not allow you to sample from certain creatures. We cannot pinpoint the precise conditions that cause this. Rule of thumb tho is to go to another location and sample something else if possible or if you are having a really bad time getting the message 'You cannot sample DNA from that' from EVERYTHING that you try - then go and do something else for a few hours and maybe logout . Everyone has a bad day like this occasionally.
Forth: You can expect to have about a 1/20 success rate when sampling level 75's. This is normal. It comes in bursts of successes and long runs of fails. If you are somewhere where you don't want to lose your sampling target then go and sit down after the second incap - and do something else for 10 minutes. As long as you do not get incapped 3 times in10 minutes then you will not be sent to the cloner.
5. How do I make a combat level x?
a) Write down what DNA's you're using and the CL of the pets they create. After a while you'll have some good recipes for different levels and are
able to remake 'em.
b) There's some good recipes floating around you can use. Do a search in the BE Forum or visit a site like SWG: Creature Crafter for a list of pets others have made.
c) You can use these equations to calculate a somewhat correct CL. The prediction might end up +/- 6 levels, but usually it's not that big difference between your final pet and the calculated CL. The BEtool is an interface for all this stuff.
6. What is the maximum combat level we can make - what is the maximum useful combat level?
You can make CL 150-200 pets, but a Master CH is only able to call a CL70 pet.
A pet with max dmg above 500 can be tamed but not called!
8. Can you predict what combat level you are going to get?
Read question #5 above.
11. Which stats can we change? Which stats do we have no control over?
All stats will stick except Armor, To Hit and Defense. Those values will reset to a CL-based number when the pet is called.
12. Minimum Combat Levels for skins
List of skin-levels
13. Pretty pictures of the creatures we can make
Hoof & Horn
15. Where are the special attacks?
Special Attacks have been removed from the Bio-Engineer side over to the Creature Handler side, they now have the ability to tame and train wild
creatures and 'learn' the specials specific to them creatures then train them into other pets.
I cruised through 15 pages of the forum plus all the FAQ's and couldnt find a good example of stim c's.
I just hit 755 power with 16 uses and have no idea if they are any good.
Experienced BE's out there lets share the info with the noobtastic noobies.
Thx
Yes however CM exp and assembly no longer do and most likely never will
#7 What crafting tool/crafting station do I use for BE?
Food and Chemical crafting station
#8 What factories do I use for BE?
Food Factory
#9 Why can't I see all my recipes when I am using my tool by a public crafting station?
Certain recipes require a higher level of complexity then a public crafting station provides. You will need to find one that is made by an architect and use that.
#10 Can I be a 12 point BE and does it make any difference to my products?
Yes with a 20+ experimentation suit you can be a 12 point BE. It makes a large diffence in most of the items. The only items it doesnt are tissues. Pets, meds, and enhancers all benefit from 12 points.
