So I didn't know precisely where to post this, but I thought this forum would be the best. I just wanted feedback on a template for a new character I'm creating. Let me know any suggestions you might have.
Artisan 4004
Brawler 4000
Marksman 0401
Master Armor
Master weapon
Smuggler 0400
Also, since I can't create this on my current server, I'm looking for a new one. Any suggestions for where this dude might survive?

As long as you can make quality weapons and armor, any server should work.
There is always a demand for such things.

With no skills in the business line, how are you planning on selling your goods? Do you have someone lined up to be a merchant for you?

Also, to save you on 5 skill points, take survey down to survey 3 or nothing at all. With a speeder, it only makes a very slight difference between survey 3 and 4. But like the previous suggestion, take EITHER weaponsmith or armorsmith, as they are very resource intensive.

Ok, I've been a Swordsman before but dropped it about 2 months ago for Carbineer. I just dropped Carbineer and I got into the idea of pikeman. I really like swordsman two so i figured why not put the two together. Whatcha think of this?
Master Brawler
Master Swordsman
Master Pikeman
Medic 2-0-4-0
Combat Prowess 0-0-4-4
and the Jedi Luck tree
I thought it would be the ultimate loot hoe. Almost capped with both on speed with +92 (only +3 away) Ability to get rid of nasty NS bleeds and heal for 1k-2k with med use 40 stim-e's. Intimidate 2 and Warcry 2. DOT's and tanking with pikeman. Swordsman the ability to deal massive amounts of damage. And the luck tree just for a little more help in looting uber stuff.

Hate to burst your bubble but I'm pretty sure that the Luck tree only affects the amount of credits you loot, not whether or not you loot better weapons, attachments, etc.

could be ... but one guy in my guild looted a +23 chef exp bandoleer right after he got luck tree. i heard they nerfed the luck tree so it wasn't as "Lucky" as it used to be though ... if i didn't get the luck tree i'd go instead of 2-0-4-0 medic 2-2-4-0 medic. Just had my stim's made also 965 power 40 med use 52 or so charges

From what I gather, most information on the Luck tree is speculative. So it really doesnt hurt to spend 4 points and get it.
The template I'm working with is Master Brawler, Master Swords, Master Pikeman, and 4004 TKA. I'm also going to get 0044 Combat Prowess and the Luck tree as well. I'm thinking about taking Pikeman down to 4004 and going 0040 medic, but I'm not sure.

In all honestly, I don't think the FS trees are worth the trouble. Expecially the "Luck" tree. The the skill tree window, Luck is described as affecting the amount of credits you recover from defeated foes. I have Luck on my Jedi and, for all I can tell, it is worthless.
Also, quite a bit of testing has been done on the melee speed/melee acc branches and it is speculated that they are not 'hard' numbers....rather at +12 Melee speed, it acts as a percentage modifier to your current melee speed, rather than a 'hard' +12 2hMelee Speed CA/AA would.

Works fantastically well. I have a ton of DOT pikes and yes, I use them on folks all the time. Also handy to stack all my mind DOTs on a NS elder, then whack her with the hammer. Using my 5 best pikes, I can get a 2200 disease/poison tic rolling on her.

I've been thinking about changing my template. I've been playing a rifleman for quite some time because my brother plays one to. But now that I picked up creature handler i feel more towards carbineer.
I can spend 30 points on carbineer skills. Which would be the best to take?

That's the template I think I am going for also. The only thing I see bad about it is the lack of channel force. Force run isnt needed since Powers has some ranged
