ya, please do, since besides for root, melee can solo a lot more and i have yet to lose to a ranged person in pvp?

My reasoning behind this is personal experience. I had melee prof, and I would get hammered during combat making me heal myself a lot. That leaves the others needing heals hung out to dry. With a ranged prof, I get very little damage and I can get a lot of healing done for others in my group. It may be just my template, but the opinion is MINE and only MINE . . . not everyone else's. I am not accusing anyone of anything and I am definitely not saying that Melee profs suck. I am only stating what worked for me and my style of play. If you can do Pike/Sword/TKA or any other Melee along with Doc, great.
I thought it said "What would you do?" at the top of this thread . . . and I stated exactly that . . . if you think otherwise, post it. This was a post asking for advice . . . or did I read it wrong?
Just so you can compare, here is my temp: Master Pistoleer, Master Medic, Master Doc, 1414 Marksman. As I stated above, it fits my style of play . . . it may not fit yours.

no offence taken, honest. As an addition to my thoughts, I think that if you are going to go to the trouble of getting Master Doc, then your main objective should be healing . . . not dealing death. If you are a TKA or Swords or Pike, then you should not bother with MD, just get the skills you need to heal and concentrate on what melee is for, let the MD do his job. I like being the Master Doc/Master Medic for the heals, I only got Master Pistoleer to use up the points and be able to defend myself. I was Master in Doc, Medic, and Combat Medic, but my offensive ability was limited by the CM skills, which are neat, but really don't do much when you are solo or in a small group. And being MD/MM, the MCM did not add much to my heal skills other than an improved Bacta Spray and Bacta Toss. I dunno, maybe I will go back, but for now, my skills as a Pistoleer are more of a need in my guild . . . as I ramble on . . .
